The Dot works just like the full size echo with a smaller speaker and a mini jack to output sound to a AV receiver. It is a great was to check the weather, automate lights and combined with the Logitech remotes can control your home theater system.

This is my first Echo device. I am still getting accustom to using this. I have set up a morning briefing that seem useful. It is connected to my nest, but that's no reason to have it. I tried the call feature and the audio to my caller was poor, won't be doing that again. Wish I would have purchased the 3rd Generation Dot.

The Dot is easily integrated in all of our main living areas of the house, enabling us Alexa control wherever we are. It has simplified our morning and nighttime routines with easy control of our Hue lights and made streaming music on the fly a breeze.

Alexa has been the best purchase I have made in a while. The daily news flash updates keep me up to date on local, national and world events and can't live without the weather updates. Looking forward to all the new skills the Echo will have over time.

Very easy setup and love the whole house speaker system

Used the Echo Dot and found it to be quite helpful for keeping up with other Echo users across the nation. There is no long distance charges. Also, Alexa is quite useful in home automation by following verbal commands. An excellent value on sale.

We use the dot for listening to music around the house.

Alexa is awesome. The Alexa. Isn't very loud I bought a Bluetooth speaker to hook to it so I can hear it in other rooms. You can now link it with other Alexas. So I have one upstairs and downstairs, thinking about buying one for the garage.

We add an Echo Dot to our current system. Placed it in the Kitchen and it is working great as we have 2 lights in the Kitchen and 3 in the living room where the main systems is located - now we can control them the lights from either room...

Love the integration with wemo and harmony hub. The music streaming is great and very easy to use. Have played with some of the other skills which are fun but the main thing for me was the music streaming and home automation and they work as advertised.

Works quite well. Does pretty much the same thing as my phone though.

I brought this for a lady who wanted one as I already have no less than 20 Alexa ready amazon products in my home. She absolutely loves it. She calls me for every little that goes on with her purchase but I don’t mind helping.

For $49, I thought even if it turned out to be more of "toy" than a convenient, time saving accessory, I would still be happy with the purchase. However, after adding a few accessories (smart plugs, etc.), it's proved to be an excellent purchase.

This is the 2nd dot I've bought. The speaker is not as good as Echo or Tap but its great for the bedroom or as a starter voice assistant in your home. I control my lights, Tv, and thermostat with Alexa. It does so much more. Definitely work it.

Especially for the holidays is was great that BBY was in stock. Echo Dot and Alexa are great, my daughter loves it. It's her alarm clock, light switch, dictionary and more all rolled into one. I've purchased more to have in other room of our house now.
