Bought as a Christmas gift. Easy to set up. They love it!

The dot makes a perfect addition to any home and an inexpensive entry point to the smart home market. We have dots in multiple locations, including one connected to our existing home stereo for Amazon Music through out the house.

Very nice product with excellent speaker and voice recognition.

Get real-time weather, set laundry or cooking timers, set alarm reminders to pick the kids up from school, set reminders or to-do lists, request recipes, etc. It’s almost scary what she can’t do to help make your homemaking easier!

Lighting rooms through Echo is nice, music if on Amazon ok, but not always what you are looking for. Sometimes it just goes off answering I don't understand because it picks up something off the TV when no one is asking her anything or even saying her name. It was funny watching a show with a character of Alexa in it and it coming on all the time.

It works flawlessly after pairing with home automation devices.

Easy to use, great for small rooms and can be programmed

I purchased an Echo Dot for my parents after they became interested in my Google Home. While there are advantages to both devices, I do think the Amazon option is friendlier to a less tech-savvy audience. It offers more options in the way of entertainment and has a [minimally] simpler interface. It works well for their needs, and the Home for mine.

The Amazon echo is such a huge hit in my household that I decided to spread the music, the news, audiobooks, jokes, games, and smart hub around, with the echo dot. While you don't need it's bigger older brother Echo to get all of it's features, a subscription to Amazon prime puts it in the must have category. Sound quality is a muffled due to size.

These devices are fantastic. I have several of them and they control the lights, my soundbar and are connected to my video doorbell. I'm still learning all the features they have but so far, they are really awesome!

Could be used in many ways if you are setup for it. Lots of fun

This was a Chistmas gift for my brother. There are a number of limitations, including no blu-tooth phone connect-ability. He understood the limitations (before I made the purchase) and he likes to be able to see what the stock market is doing, play some music, or hear a joke.

It's good.. only down side is speaker isn't real loud. Its ok for small office or night stand. I bought it for my daughter because she wanted something to use when she get ups in the morning and gets ready for work. Its not cordless either :(

Great product for the house using the product is easy!

I purchased four of these as gifts. And one gift was for me. So far I've connected it to turn on my tv. Connected it to my smart thermostat and it wakes me up daily. Gives me a need brief and gets smarter daily. Did I mention it's only 49.00.

Very affordable smart home solution. Excellent device that can do everything the more expensive versions can do with a smaller speaker. And honestly the larger devices speakers aren’t anything to write home about either.

My kid loved talking to Alexa. Nice sound quality.
