My son uses this in his room and he absolutely loves it

For the $29.99 Christmas price, this is a steal. This one goes in the kitchen. it can set timers, reminders, read recipes, do conversions ("Alexa, how many tablespoons in a cup".), play music, and a million other things.

I got it so I would have music in the bathroom. The sound quality wasn’t very good

I use it for my Phillips Hue lights right now and it works amazing. I ask it some minor questions here and there but mainly for smart home stuff. A little bit of a robotic voice. Not as loud as the Echo but definitely worth the $50

Great product from Amazon. Set up was easy though the Alexa App. Works as expected - answering questions, shopping, etc. Voice command and detection work great. Do not have speak unnaturally or out side conversational tone/volume.

Small size perfect for bedroom. Great gift for all ages

You need to understand, Echo is a media speaker and will help you be organized. It is not Google or Siri. It is the smallest speaker to play your music, it will keep track of your activities and can can answer basic answers.

I was very undecided between Amazon or Google. I have been extremely happy with my choice. The microphone on the dot is also more sensitive than the echo, in my opinion. Have echo and 2 dots set up around the house now.

We really love this echo, but we only use it to listen to music and ask questions. I'm sure it has more uses, but we are both too lazy to find out. I like it because I can ask for a certain song and I get it without having to put on a radio or go to you tube. Only problem is that sometimes Alexa talks when no one has addressed her.

I thought this purchase would be one of those frivolous ones I sometimes make, but I have been pleasantly surprised by how useful Alexa is. I am discovering new ways to use it every day. Love the integration with the Philips Hue.

I use the wink hub with the Eco dot and it works great , I have a second Eco dot for multi room audio works great with powered speakers that are plugged into the dot. I am still trying to figure out the multi room bluetooth

We started with one Amazon Echo, and then started adding Echo Dots in different rooms and the basement. We use it all the time whenever a question comes up and 9 times out of 10, Echo has the answers.

I have the newer version of Alexa but this one works great in a small room. The speaker isn't quite as good but I use it in the kitchen mostly for a timer and you couldn't beat the holiday pricing specials.

The small size allows for placing it almost anywhere.

I own an echo since day one and enjoy it. I got this so we could have one in the bedroom and my wife is loving it in there so far. Probably going to get one for my daughter's room so she can listen to music because she loves Alexa.

Easy set up! If you are a prime member you get a lot of free music. Tune in radio is great also. I also purchased the Philips Hue bridge to automate lighting. Nice price point.

Bought it on a lark just to see what it can do. Have had fun asking it questions. Lets me know how far from my home to my destination. Am planning on buying some Hue bulbs and seeing how it works with them.

I enjoyed it after using it for a while, especially to set timer, and also play music and bought it at sales. However, I noticed couple situation: 1) ask for weather unit and it gave me NY weather vs local to my area 2) suddenly stop on playing music So with above I can only give 4 stars.

Very satisfied I purchased the Dot as a second unit for the bedroom....I have the echo plus as well....since i have it connected to a speaker the sound quality isnt a problem....alone the Dot speaker is a bit too small

The amazon echo dot is a very great product from Amazon, it is able to control my lights and just ask it, also great for Iheart radio and Amazon radio, plus many other features, it can do almost anything you ask it to do.
