I would recommend this over the full echo for the price

I have connected the DOT to my Harmony Remote for controlling my sound and tv systems. It does take some hands on training and work to get each device to work properly. I do enjoy the standard vox requests, like time/weather/news and joke of the day. It is fun. I am a vox control user with SIRI and Cortana. So this is a next step.

My dad was a little skeptical at first when I got this for his birthday last month, but my mom just called to tell me that he loves it. He asks questions and does research using it all the time now. It makes a great gift.

The Amazon Echo Dot has made a great gift for my daughter. It was nice to be able to buy some of the latest tech at a reasonable price for once. She has found many uses for it, but her favorite seems to be for playing music.

As many have already stated, the speaker is not great (not even good for music). I have been disappointed with Alexa's ability to understand asked questions, and surprised at the amount of questions it is not able to answer. The size is great, and the app is helpful.

We have had lots of fun finding facts about this day in history, playing game like jeopardy and which would you rather. The kids love asking questions and finding/playing songs. They also love all the easter eggs Alexa has.

My family and I enjoy our amazon dots! It not only runs our hue light sustem but it also answers ridiculous questions from the kids and gives me my bedside alarm clock! Great product need to put one in every room now.

This is an excellent alternative for Home Automation integration via Alexa instead of spending almost 3-4 times in the big brother Amazon Echo. It provides you all the same capabilities. It does produce sound. Not great for listening. But, again if you are looking it to integrate with rest of your Smart Home, an excellent choice.

We purchased the Echo Dot over the holidays. My 10 year old loves it! At first he was having conversations with Alexa and now he’s asking her questions that help him with his homework! A great addition for every home.

Love my Dot! Easy to setup. Took me maybe 10 mins tops. She wakes me in the morning, plays my favorite tunes, and so much more. My girlfriend is a bit threatened of our relationship. But I'm sure we'll call get along

It's definitely convenient. No typing required!!!!

Have several Alexis throughout our house. The dot is perfect room to room talking and keeping track of various lists. Also use as an intercom type device. My kids love using it for Music and asking jokes.

Liked this better than Google Home. Easy to set up

The dot is the perfect way to get a taste of what it’s like to have a smart assistant within having to make a big investment, but after a few days with the dot, you’ll want the echo plus and other smart home products.

Had to get a second one i now have one upstairs and the one downstairs communicate to upstairs when i have to let the kids know to come down for dinner without me screamming my lungs out. Love this thing.

Easy to use and very good gadget for the entire family

This is the second Echo product we own. The first one we purchased was the full size Echo and then the Dot. We use them in different rooms and they perform as expected. We are pleased with both and they have performed well.
