Highly recommended for a small room such as bedroom, den, small game room. I could see the sound quality suffering when not hooked up to a bigger sound system in a larger room. which is what they recommend.

I got this to go along with my echo. I have a Bluetooth speaker that it connects to and works perfect!! Sound is no where close to the echo, but neither is the price. I ended up buying 2 I liked it so much.

The Amazon Echo is a fantastic little gadget. Plug in an external bluetooth speaker and you have a great voice activated speaker that can complete internet searches for you, play music or organize your day.

The Echo Dot seems to be built very well. Could use it as a paper weight. We have used it a bit here and there, there seems to be more skills that are coming out so it has been fun to use. The kids like it.

Like having a genius in the house! It quickly and accurately answers any question we ask and it keeps us on time! We love it and intend to equip each room with one of these phenomenal "helpers"!

Alexa is good, the speaker is below average and the looks are good

I am very happy with my first Echo Dot. The price was unbelievable and the main reason I chose this one was because of the aux cord attachment and the music streaming choices that I already have.

Although I don't use this device for all the applications it's designed for, I enjoy it a great deal. I'm sure over time I will use it for more and more different applications.

Works great as a second access point to Echo. I love having Echo in dining room and Dot in the bedroom. As easy to set up as the Echo. Speakers aren't as good, but can Bluetooth to external speakers.

Great product with simple setup. Ran into account registration failure issues when getting configured which required echo tech support to solve. Otherwise simple to use with a plethora of integration with smart home tech. Great for bedroom use to control lighting and get news or weather updates.

I enjoy having Echo in my bedrooms and family room. It makes it so easy to contact my family without shouting or running up and down the stairs. The capabilities of Alexa are just unremarkable.

Loving Alexa, makes keeping a grocery list easy. I didn't know how much I would use it so I opted for a Dot over the Echo. Alexa has come in very handy. I wish she had more skills. I've run into a few issues where Alexa didn't have the information, but over all I love and am very happy with it.

I connected the Echo first and later the Dot. It works really good. Alexa is the best thing since ice cream. My house and car is connected and I have had no issues. The Dot works in smaller rooms very well.

This was the hot item for us for Christmas 2016. We had purchased in total 7 at the sale price. Kept 3 for each of my household. Everyone was excited to receive there's and are having a great time with it.

It's like having an assistant with all the answers, can stream millions on songs, set reminders, alarms, shopping lists. Does it all. When paired with a good speaker I listen to music for hours.

I bought myself the echo. at Christmas for president. I like the fact that it has a lot of the features like adding to the shopping list asking what the weather is and it takes up minimal space.

Still buying and learning about Alexa enabled devices and skills. The Dot is a great addition, especially now that Amazon is letting them synch with each other to have whole house audio. I subtracted 1 star because I am confident they could produce the device with a better sounding speaker.

I charged into this full steam, buying lights and speakers and a thermostat. While all are totally fun and usable, I don't use it as often as I did. As more features get added, I'll probably keep using it.

Got the Amazon Echo after visiting a relative who had it. We are enjoying it very much! So handy in the kitchen and great to listen to music, audiobooks, etc. set up was a breeze and it works great!
