Such a great product to have around the house. I knew that it could control items in the house but didn't know anything about he countless games or activities I and my children could do with it!

If you like to ask (yap)Amazon - Echo Dot a lot of questions she won't mind... I can't wait until 3rd generation comes. Those will be the ones that will keep asking you the questions. J/K

For $40 it's pretty good. However, it doesn't use a search engine like Google to answer any questions you throw at it. Also, Amazon's music player leaves much to be desired. Other apps are great like recipes, shopping list & Pandora.

They had these on sale during black friday so I picked up a few. Really convenient around the apartment for turning off and on lights, checking the weather, keeping notes, etc.

It’s an Echo dot. Not much to say other than it’s another place to shove Alexa into your life. Love to use these with the holders that hang onto the outlets so they are out of site, but you can say “hey Alexa” from anywhere.

Love our Amazon Dot! We especially love the Drop In feature available on all Amazon Echo devices so that we can talk to any room in our house on demand. Fantastic quality and fantastic device!

The sound on this one is not as clear as my previous Echo Dot

I use the dot to create multi room audio by connecting my home stereos each to a dot and using Alexa to play over all simultaneously. Oh yeah and sometimes I ask about the weather.

We now have 1 echo and 5 dots to run the house. Combined with several WeMo switches we just tell Alexa to turn everything on or off. Also, with all of the music choices it made my wife a believer.

I love this it is so convenient I can just say Alexa add to my shopping list and lift my items and I can just say Alexa to do and add the things that I need to do it is easy fun and inexpensive

I use Alexa for telling the time when I awaken in the middle of the night. I also get the weather report every morning before I get out of bed, after listening to the radio all night. I love Alexa!

Amazon Echo is a remarkable service, and it makes a perfect gift for parents and grandparents who aren't incredibly tech-savvy but still want easy access to their music, shopping, news, and weather.

The Echo Dot is a marvelous product especially for kitchen or bedroom. Set alarms, timers, add to shopping or to do list, play music, get up to date weather and news, it does it all. Great product.

I'm disabled and this makes turning off the lights so much easier for me. I also use it to stream my music and connect to my TVs sound bar. It has an internal speaker but my sound bar works better.

Had Alexa up and running quickly. Found out though that getting her to answer questions sometimes took awhile. Some questions need to be repeated in different ways before you find the wording she can understand. We are still figuring out what all she can do, but seems like a good buy so far.

The Echo Dot is a great, fun and useful product. The bluetooth speaker allows you to sync your phone and play music. Also, you can ask almost anything and Alexa will answer your question. I love it!

I enjoy my dot and use it every day. Makes calls, turns my light on and off, times things and reminds me of my daily plans. I get NPR news each morning and music when I ask. Some of the jokes are not good but some really make me laugh. Almost like having a good friends with me.

The device connects easily to your wi-fi network, especially if you use the downloadable Amazon Alexa app from your phone's app store and run the setup. Once we had it connected we immediately tried asking basic questions like "When is the football on TV tonight?", "What's the baseball schedule", etc. These were mostly answered but some received the response "I'm sorry but I don't know that", or the like. What really upset us was when we tried to say "Call Tom" who is in our phone's contacts. When it said, "I cannot find Tom in your contacts", I started searching the web for answers from other users. It was then that I discovered that it only would call other Alexa app & Echo users! ** Now that is lame! ** I'll keep persevering, and try other things, but I'm not that impressed I'm afraid.

Wonderful little machine just wish it had a little bit more power as far as base and sound other than that Amazon did a wonderful job with this next time I would upgrade to the bigger one

It is a good tool if you have other devices to connect it to.
