Works as well as the Amazon Echo (I have one, and felt a need to have a second unit on another floor if our house.). Only trade off, is sound quality. But, overall, the Dot responds as quickly, and performs as well as the Echo. Am contemplating a 2nd Dot for the 3rd floor of our home!

The echo dot is not quite as versatile as the echo, but it does work wonderfully for my youngest son. He uses it in his room for a speaker and the set up was very simple. The voice recognition is a little trying at times, but that is to be expected. We have definitely enjoyed the product.

We bought this for our son, and he loves it. We bought a white one for our daughter. Works great in their rooms. We were told the speaker wasn’t great, but it is perfect for their room.

Have had lots of fun with this little dot. Having it connected with Amazon Music I am able to just say "Alexa, play...." I've been thinking up lots of my favorite songs for her to play.

I have an Echo at home and we use it for a lot of different conveniences. I got the Dot for the office. I'm using it to keep my calendar and to do lists updated. It's quick and helpful.

Good price on special. Sound is not as good on high volume.

Easy set up, works great!! I liked this so much I bought one for each of my children. The grandchildren love asking questions!! A benefit of that is it helps them with better pronunciation!

It's a good device to have around - very handy for finding information, playing music, adding things to your shopping list and many other things. The only slight drawback is the audio quality. It's ok, but not great. If that's your primary purpose, I'd suggest you buy the larger Echo.

Great product and service but the speakers could be better.

The Amazon platform for the Echo and related available skills are great for home automation. I use the Echo to control my thermostat, HUE lights, Garage door opener along with on-line searches.

The Amazon - Echo dot is a good product for children to start with. It helps challenge them, and opens the door to the acquisition of basic skills needed to navigate computer based products. It is also a good learning tool.

This dot makes my day. When im running around or playing with my kida or even doing homework. She keeps me up to date with everything and plays my music at a perfect level. I love it!!

I am using 3 of the Echo Dot systems in order to have ""Whole-house" coverage. I use Alexa to control my lighting, check on weather and news, as well as a conversation piece when Friends visit.

Works better than expected. I had to buy multiple echos for every room in the house. Amazon has their books in me now. Controls my light bulbs and TV. This one sits right behind my tv.

THIS LITTLE DEVICE IS REALLY GREAT! IT IS SO RESPONSIVE AND FUN TO USE. I HAVE ONE IN EACH OF OUR ROOMS AND I OFTEN USE AS AN INTERCOM AS WELL AS FOR MUSIC AND INFORMATION!

The Echo dot has a great Alexa AI and I use it to control my Xbox, vacuum cleaner, surge protectors, and my FireTV. It comes very in handy as an alarm clock and reminder.

Worked great at first, but at times forgets certain lights.

love getting the weather, information about my work commute and the news while I get ready for work in the mornings. love streaming music, etc so much fun learning the different skills
