Cannot play/control my music/playlists over Sonos System.

The Amazon Echo dot is pretty smart and seems pretty intelligent but sometimes it doesn't understand some very simple questions. The speaker on the Dot of course is not as good as on the regular Echo, but that's to be expected since it's not as big as the speaker on the regular Echo.

Love what Amazon is coming up with. I have the Echo dot in my bedroom and it is quiet loud for it's size. I love that it is hands free and is able to recognize my voice across my bedroom.

The echo dot is excellent. I bought one for myself and ended up buying 2 more for the house. It's much louder than I expected, works perfectly. Must have for anyone building up a smart home!!

I bought two for my office and my wife's studio, they are good for small rooms in my opinion. Definitely lacks the bass and volume that the Amazon Echo has (I also have one of those, and it is great for open floor plans).

I like the dot as it help with my smart home. I use it to turn light on and off through the home. The dot has saved me many trips up and down the stair to turn light off after the kids .

I'm very pleased with my Echo Dot, so much so that I have purchased two more in addition to this one. I find them handy for controlling lights, and generally acting as a voice assistant.

I love Alexa ince I'm a big Amazon person. It works fine the setup is a but much you have to download the app, then set it up. Mines didn't connect right away. Sound isn't the loudest but good for commands or request. For music I would connect a speaker.

I have both the Echo Dot with Alexa and the Google Home with the Google Assistant in the same room. The Google Assistant hears me fine from anywhere in the large room. Alexa only here's me when I am in close proximity. I like the way Alexa can learn complex actions with the skills concept, but I prefer the answers of my day to day questions and to play Music from the Google Home. I got the Echo Dot because it has a skill to control my DishNetwork via voice. This is working well, but calling across the room to Alexa is frustrating. I am always yelling at her to get her to hear me. If you have no reason such as a particular skill the Echo can do the Google Home can't I would skip the Echo Dot and get the Google Home or Google Home mini instead.

You cannot go wrong with Echo dot. Love the audio and mic quality. App is awesome. Best for home automation cos I feel it does it better and faster than the Google Home.

Wake word set to "Computer". Yeah! Once you figure out you can do much more via Skills you can download. While some worry about this thing listening to you all the time, as I'm sure it does... has to listen for the wake word, just put it somewhere else besides the bedroom. ;)

We use the Dot to complement our network of Alexa devices in our house. It works well as a communication device and a programmer for lighting and other activities.

I bought a full-featured Echo Plus and this Dot, but the Dot did everything I needed so I returned the Echo Plus. Unless you need the larger speaker or smart hub, just get the Dot.

I would definitely recommend this product to everyone. My whole family enjoys asking Alexa questions. I check the weather every morning, and she is accurate. I also like to hear music, and have heard many songs that I haven't heard in a long time.

I gave Alexa as a gift the person that received it loves it,it's a great gift for anyone any age simple and fun to use , I will definitely be buying more to give as gifts in the future !

I got this one free for buying a ring spotlight cam another great Amazon product I didn't need it because I already have several in my house so I gave it to a friend

Although I like the device issues with Amazon being glitchy lowers this rating. Externally as far as asking questions it is great. Watching movies through Amazon is not the greatest. A movie will show as available but will not play unless you or rent it.

I can't tell you how much we enjoy our DOT. Unbelievable what it does. BTW, have fun with the "Easter Eggs". I went over to Amazon and bought the Evo battery making the DOT totally portable.

We love our echo dots! We have one in every room and love that we can connect via paging. My toddler loves to ask Alexa to make animal noises and play his favorite songs

This is good for small bedroom or kitchen mainly to keep alarm or reminders. You can talk over calls but u may need to be little closer than echo to give same request. If it's your only device music may be ok in terms of volume n clarity. Choose as per ur use
