Bought as a gift for my parents and they are having fun talking to and learning from Alexa! My mom is especially loving asking her cooking and conversion questions in the kitchen!

The whole family is using the echo dot and having fun. I don't think we have even scratched the surface of what it can do. I bought one for my son and daughter-in-law, too.

I find this to be a real Handy Appliance in the house. I use it for updating my shopping list and for timers when I'm cooking I also used it to control my Philips Hue lighting system.

This works great. Does everything we expected, and more. Sometimes it loses connection with internet b/c ours is kind of weak, but not the fault of the product.

Got these echo dots at an amazing deal at Best Buy. I love the Alexa. She helps with homework, sings lullaby’s, to cooking recipes. Everyone needs one of these.

This is my second Echo, I bought one for a gift and now you can actually call on Echo to reach another person. I'm in the process of adding more things to it to control my home...

I basically use it for my SmartThings to control my lights and switches. It also serves as a quick search from online to music and more depending on what services you have.

The speaker is really weak, but she's pretty smart.

I bought 3, knowing it has some limitations. But I was looking at the future with its compatibility with Sonos. Thus far, i'd say after the gimmick fun of them wears off, they are overrated. I have multiple in home smart devices a WINK hub, LIFX bulbs, a whole home Sonos system & a Nest thermostat. The dot loses connection, can't find the device or works intermittently. For a smart device it's not so smart. It barely can answer basic search questions. I use it more for a glorified alarm clock with the occasional weather and sports updates. Hoping the Sonos compatibility works so i didn't totally waste $150.

If you are into the latest technology this is the gadget for you. I enjoy having my alexa in the home to ask questions. Can't wait ton get my entire home smart technology configured.

We are still learning the echo, but so far it we like it. Being able to set up our security system to it, talk to it and get answers and such a powerful device.

Love the echo dot combined with the fire tv or stick you can tell Alexa to turn on apps or play a show pause,play and other things without picking up the remote

This is my 2nd echo dot. I use it in the garage and as unnecessary as that sounds it was a great sale and I love having 'her" in my garage. While my hands are busy with working on projects I can give voice commands for music, volume and lights to turn on/off.

Don’t know everything yet that Alexa can do but willing to try. Love the updates amazon sends regarding this product so I understand more what I can do . with it. Good item when you’re just trying it out and then you can decide to move up to the next version.

Does most of everything well. You will not regret having Alexa in our home. I took off 1 star because Alexa has trouble hearing me sometimes or misunderstands my questions. Alexa is always getting smarter and will likely improve on that over time.

If you looking for a great personal assistant. Or something to entertain the kids with. Then look no further this is it. Also works great with most home automation systems.

I absolutely love my dot. I can tell it to set my alarm clock and when the alarm goes off I can tell it to stop I can play music and I can order other products I love this device

We have 3 Dots at home and I got a new Dot for my office and love it. I decided to pack it for a trip and it was great. I will take it everywhere I go. It's perfect for travel.

Whereas the Echo Dot can do so many things, my wife and I love the list feature, and we use it often. I’ve connected it to my Bose Soundlink II and it works like a charm.

Got this for a gift for my dad for Christmas. My mom just recently came down with an illness leaving her home all day. She is able to use it to keep her busy/informed. Great product!
