I now have 4 of these echo dots and have them in 4 rooms now very easy to setup and I suggest that you get the books on what to ask it and what to do if you are a first time user

I wouldn't exactly call this necessary or life-changing, but I got one for my parents and they get some fun about it. Its usefulness obviously goes up if you decide to dip your toe into smart home devices (lights, heating, etc), which the Echo controls well.

Why did I wait so long to buy this? Seriously a must have for anyone. Really for the price this is a must have item to add to the house hold. I can't give it a five because well no product is perfect but this is pretty close to the perfect tech gadget for anyone.

I can't review this one I purchased because it is a gift. Bought it for my husband for his birthday after we had one in the kitchen for 3 months before it went off to college!

I love the Dot. It is like having a personal assistant without the legs. From the weather to ordering take-out, you can't beat this. Excellent design . Alexia got Siri on the run.

Now I can just say, what's my commute, what time is, turn on radio, my son does homework is just so perfect, so far we have 3 of them... just live them....

I have two Echo's and three Echo Dots around the house. They help considerably with shopping lists, music, weather, household lighting and just over all knowledge from the internet.

we have gotten very attached to ur Alexa. We use it for everything. I think this is a great way to start working on your smart home.

I got one a little over two years ago and now it isn’t working so well. It’s needed for an elderly man so it must work. Therefore a new one. It gets used a lot.

I gave this echo dot as a gift to my nephew. He was thrilled to receive it as he had been nagging his parents to allow him to purchase one. He says its been working perfectly.

I thought it would be pointless to have one of these but I am loving it! I have my lights bulbs threw it so I can turn on and off all my light with just a couple of words.

my 3 year old loves this more than I do. Very helpful for setting time out timers and to get a quick forecast. The smart home part is a little difficult, but still fun to use

Bought this as a gift for my parents. They mostly just ask it for the weather, but it can do more. It's simple for what they use it for and they like it.

Purchased for second room to access Alexa - wished I would have purchased at Christmas as was almost $20 dollars cheaper. Does everything it is suppose to with easy setup

"Ok". Have 2 of these around my house and as I unfortunately do not utilize all of the features Aelxa has to offer, what I do use it for, works like a charm!

Hooked it up to my DLink smart plugs and KASA light fixtures without too much effort. I wish it could play in stereo via Bluetooth speakers and still more frustrating that it doesn't run through my playlist but still worth the sale price.

We now have three Dots and one Echo. We use them to ask questions and it is a great way to communicate with our teenaged son who doesn't answer his phone.

I absolutely love this little guy! Got a total of three. Built in speaker is good enough for our bed room. Got the living room one linked with a Bluetooth speaker. Awesome Product!
