I love my Echo dot. Didn't think I would really use it, but I use it quite often for weather info, my schedule, trivia information, music, news, and traffic information.

I bought this for my mom for Mother's day and she loves it. She loves asking random questions and having Alexa find answers. I linked her Pandora and she loves having the music play for her with just her voice. Can't wait to see how much more she will play with it!

I purchased the Dot to play with and be a line in to my Sonos system. I love it! I read that full integration with Sonos will be coming (but even if it isn't, it's still worth it).

Does exactly what it says it will do and more. Easy to setup and best of all, it has a audio output. This made up for the not too good speakers; I simply connect it to my sound bar and I am getting great music quality. Love it. I would give 5stars if not of the speakers

Good unit to give as a gift and useful if you want to automate your home from lighting and monitoring the electrical energy you consume on a monthly or weekly basis.

I purchased 2 of these for my high school son and my college professor brother. Both generations loved the gift and use them in completely different ways. So glad I purchased!

I find the Echo useful in asking it things like what the weather is. Also, good for setting an alarm or for scheduling. Even the ability to leave messages on a friends echo. Downfall is that it sometimes misunderstands you so you have to repeat yourself.

Enjoying this product so far! So many different things to ask Alexa it's almost overwhelming. I use it to turn on so many things (in addition to having the Logitech harmony).

This device is amazing. Everyone should have one. I can ask it any question and it gives me answers. I ask it a lot of school questions. It’s a must have.

The Echo is great for asking many things like the weather, when my favorite team plays, starting timers when cooking, pausing my Directv programming with my Harmony, etc.

This is my second Echo Dot and it works fine so far. Be aware of one thing -- My first Dot died after about 5 months. I thought it was covered under warranty for a year. However, it is NOT and the Dot is only covered for 90 days and Amazon would not replace it.

My kids really loved this product because it talks to them and will answer most questions. The skills are fun. Alexa is not always responsive and sometimes loses its connection. Also I would recommend purchasing smart home devices when you purchase this.

We have three Echo dots now, this was our first. Works OK except issues hooking back up to WiFi after outage. Not all the time but periodically. I prefer Google Home Mini for this reason as always hooks up to WiFi after an outage.

This device is easy to use and setup. Offers a lot of things to help you get thru your day faster, like the weather, notifications, flash news, and trivia.

I live the Alexa, the speaker could be better quality but there is so much capabilities, even after years of owning one I still do not know everything but can do! It’s always updating and adding new features which I love!

I use this for a lot of sports related questions: "who won the 1936 World Series?" The wife uses it for cooking: " how many pints in a quart?" Each answer is very detailed too.

We don’t have a smart phone, so cannot take advantage of all the features. However, it is good for simple information like weather and basic questions. You do have to really think about asking questions in simple, logical, and concise ways.

It's this or the Google Home Mini. About the same price. If you have a Prime membership, or think you might soon, go with the Echo Dot. Then start building a smart home.

I purchased the Echo to automate my phone and be able to speak to my lights and thermostat. So far i love it, however, at times i have to yell at Alexa. Sometimes it is frustrating that she doesn't understand what I am asking for. However, overall it has been great.
