We gave this as a Christmas gift to our daughters family and they are having a great time with it. The grandkids love asking it questions. We're thinking of buying one for us!!

Picked mine up just after Christmas for $29.99. Works as good or better as stated above then the Echo. Only bad I can say is speaker volume could be better for music.

Amazon has done it yet again. These things rock and are very versatile. Speakers are just OK. overall highly recommend and you will not be disappointed!

Sure set up may take a few minutes for adding a smart plug/ but after set up is complete, my father-in-law loved it. It works well with Amazon prime music membership.

I love this little item because my husband always has questions about different Stars and this gives us the answer right away without having to look it up.

We use our Echo Dot every day! Love that Alexa will tell my kids silly jokes and give us instant weather updates when we’re in a rush to get out the door.

This is great and does exactly what i wanted! I link it to my Bluetooth speaker because the speaker on here isn't near the quality of the Echo but still a great item!

We've had a blast with this little box. The only problem is that I'm now second fiddle to Alexa. This entry level device is well worth the entrance fee even without it on sale.

No complaints. I love my echo dot. I get my weather, do my shopping,make announcements to my family from the other room through it and so much more.

It is a limited device. It can order dominos, tell you the weather and play songs but that's all it does. It's far from a need. The highest volume is still not loud. It's ok to have. Could do with or without.

This is my 3rd device. I personally like the ability to call from one device to another within the house. Great little feature. We love our Alexa. I'm sure you will too.

very helpful. i’ve had it for about 2 weeks now and i have 0 complains. answers correctly just about everything you ask. considering you’re asking something appropriate.

Alexa is getting smarter every day. I have Smart Things. Works good with my Amazon Echo Dot. Had trouble setting up with Smart Things. Then realized the app has to be in use.

I love this item but wish it could do more- for example, I have two Echos and it would be great to have them sync as speakers - wish they could do IR control. Most of all they need an inbuilt battery for moving the Echo Dot around, even if onky for five minutes.

We have been integrating Alexa and amazon into the house. Also added hue lighting system. Pretty awesome to make commands for lighting, music or other from the amazon products

Great item to throw into a white elephant exchange. Watch the chaos erupt. Lol As for the product itself- it’s a fine extension of the Amazon ecosystem. I recommend you plug it into a better speaker if you plan to play a lot of music with it.

I bought two, one for the master bedroom (which now wakes us), and one for the living room (TV and light control). We have it linked to our Samsung Smartthings ecosystem.

for $50, this is a crazy amount of tech in a hockey puck. the AI is on par with anything else and makes plenty of mistakes, but so does Siri. All and all, really impressive.

The echo dot 2nd generation is pretty freaking awesome....bottom line. And with the new skills she gets regularly its always exciting to see what else Alexa will do next.

These are very neat gifts. They can do numerous tasks to include turning on lights, etc. when paired with WIFI devices. The speaker is not as good sounding as the larger Echo.
