Moved my original Echo into the kitchen and decided to get a Dot to replace it in g living room. Does okay on it's own but works best when connected to an external speaker.

I purchased this unit as a cheap alternative to the google home/Echo. Don't get me wrong it does pretty much everything as advertised just has some trouble when answering basic questions where as the google home answers almost all of my weird/simple questions.

Much more responsive than my Google Home device plus it connects with my Amazon account to track my orders. My wife loves it for her alarm clock.

If you don't have the money for yhe alexa get the dot. It does the same thing. You can connect a Bluetooth speaker or a 3.5 to rca cable and connect it to your home stereo

Works just OK, doesn't know as much as you might think and has a difficult time understanding your voice. Also just randomly starts talking about various subjects (like just started giving the news this afternoon). Its almost like big sister is listening,

Love my echo dots! We have one in every room. We can ask her to turn on lights and play our music among many other cool things. Best entertainment ever!

This is so handy to have around. No radio needed, just speak and you have any choice music you want. Ask Alexa just about anything and she answers. Will definitely recommend.

I bought this for my wife and wound up liking it more than I thought I would. There are some things it can't figure out (yet), but for the price point it was worth the cost.

This is the first Amazon Echo product I have purchased. I gotta to say I am impressed on how is sync’s my Prime membership and notifies me with every update.

The Dot is the voice to my home automation, and also my music librarian. It combines multiple home automation products and manages them all despite different manufacturers..

Overall the echo dot is a great device that works well. You can ask it questions or have it play music by suggesting a song, artist, or genre. Its a neat device and will make a great addition to any home.

Love having this device sitting in our family room. Able to have it turn off and on the lights all over the house and sent timers and order things if needed. Cool product.

I love this. It plays whatever song I ask it to and answers almost all my questions I ask it. It works right out of the box with little setup. I would certainly recommend it.

My family loves the echo, and it has so many features that we didn’t even know before purchasing. The only issue we have is that when you play music, it’s not that clear because the size of the speaker which we figured before we bought it anyway.

I prefer this model of Alexa. I really don’t care for the newer models. It doesn’t have as good as sound as the Google mini but it can connect with your Bluetooth speaker so you can get great sound that way. You can play Pandora on it, you can turn your lights off and on ...if you have a smart plug, you can get the time and temperature, and you can make calls to mobile phones which can be great if you aren’t able to get a phone. It’s a great price as well. I didn’t rate it as high as you would think ,I would have but did not simply because of the glaring issue some of you may be aware of the privacy issues. Otherwise it’s a great device.

I absolutely love the Amazon echo. It's perfect for my office and connecting to my Bluetooth speaker. I love using the voice activated features to play my Amazon playlist.

Amazon echo dot is a great new tool for around the house. It gets me off my smartphone without losing access to music media internet resources. I highly recommend.

Great product from amazon. Mini hands‑free, voice‑controlled device with a small built‑in speaker. Bought this during sale and already gifted to couple of friends.

My old roommate had this and we used it all the time. Voice command seems to be more responsive than the Google counterpart. The games and easter eggs are awesome!
