We have the Amazon Echo. That works great for us because we often use it to listen to music. We bough several of the dots for family members because they are small, a great way to create lists and set timers/reminders, Alexa is also there to answer many of your questions. Highly recommend!

I am purchasing these for my entire family.. Mine is tied into pretty much everything in my house, and now I will be able to chat with my family whenever I want

I bought the Echo Dot to go in my bedroom after I found Out how much I relied on the Echo have in my kitchen. It operates the same without as big of a speaker but the sound is great for such a small unit. I use it for my morning alarm along with listening to iHeart radio in the morning.

She has ask's it all kinds of questions and uses it nightly to play her music over pandora!!!

We have Echo Dots in kitchen, living room, two bathrooms, two bedrooms. They are soooo handy.

We have these scattered through out the house and garage. We use them as an intercom system, to play music, control lights (when we are home and away), to check on the news, weather and stock market. Okay, I could live without them but they would be missed.

Didn't know if we would like Alexa but after finding out what you can do with it, We like it!

I have both the echo and dot and love them both. Echo great for playing music by itself. Have hooked dot to my stereo so can request songs and have play through my system. Have also hooked both to smart light switches and plugs. Can't wait until get them setup to control my entire house.

Echo dots are great to take around the house in small rooms. I love that I can listen to any music or radio station anywhere when I'm going to sleep. I tell Alexa when to turn off so the programing I'm listening to doesn't stay on all night. "Alexa turn off in 20 minutes."

This Dot is as good as the others and if you pair it with a speaker you can get great sound.

Let's say it out loud: those little voice controlled devices are pretty amazing. At least, something that makes me feel we somehow entered the 21st century. Now, I can control a few lights at home, the kids enjoy interacting with the thing asking questions and all. But I can't stop feeling that there should be more to it. What, I'm not sure yet. But if I'll figure out, I'll let you know...

This falls into the category you don't know what you're missing until you have it. Even if just for connecting to a bluetooth speaker and streaming online music, the Echo Dot is a must-have. Set an alarm or 100, find out the weather, the news, order products all by saying "Alexa..."

All the great features of the Amazon Echo at a fraction of the size. Alexa responds really well to commands and even learns your voice after a while, making it easier to communicate with it. Only negative is the speaker is not sufficient for music, so you have to connect another speaker to it. This can be down wirelessly though. It does make it more than the $50 though, but sitll cheaper than the Echo.

Can't beat the price on the Echo Dot. Does everything the Echo does for less than half the price. The speaker is limited compared to the full Echo, but still sounds good. You can also hook up speakers to this one. I use it for smart home features, Pandora, kitchen timer and questions.
