Alexa is a fun useful tool. Easy to just talk to. I recommend it to anyone.

Alexa is my new best friend. She lulls me to sleep with ocean sounds, wakes me with a gentle noise and can answer almost any question I ask. If you do not have one of these, get one. - The white one fits perfectly in my daughter's bedroom decor.

Using Tune In to listen to the radio every morning. No hassle to say Alexa, turn on WMBD and there it is. Of course, you have to set up the station in Tune In before it works. Alexa even hears me thru the cabinet door and sends to the blue-tooth speaker.

Good: play music, set alarms, control my smart home system, real inexpensive as compared to similar competitive products Needs improvement: searching information online, sync to Fire TV system (the two systems does not connect to each other at this point)

Have a few scattered throughout the house. Easy to use and essential to my smart home setup. Recommend these for great voice control over smart home devices. Works great with smartthings, hue lights, etc. will be getting a couple more to complete setup.

Amazon dot is great. Don't want a big footprint? Got a Bluetooth speaker lying around> Then the Amazon dot is for you. Get news, play music, ask question, order from Amazon and the Dot can do it. Connect it across the room to your speaker. Highly recommended

We bought both the google and the amazon. They are both great but we ultimately went all the way with Amazon because of the video screen and the accessories. The search engine on Amazon is Bing which is awful but we don’t use it much for that. If you use your search engine a lot you will want google

I wasn't too sure if I was ready to jump into the world of "home automation" and spend the day shouting out commands to a computer... but after reading about a million reviews (and the fact that the Echo Dot was on sale), I figured "might as well give it a shot." In all honesty, Im glad I did. I worried it would be cumbersome but it's actually like having an intern in the room with you... you can ask it to do things and keep track of stuff, even give you complements and order you a pizza. I have mine connected to my Nest thermostat so I can control the temperature by just saying "turn up the heat a bit." Best of all, it's completely easy to set-up and very simple to use... and once you get it up and running, Amazon makes sure to send you occasional emails about new features and things to try out. I'd totally recommend this to anyone.

I was impressed. I bought 3 more Dots! Perfect size and unobtrusive design.

I didn't think this would come in handy very often, but it does. I have it hooked up to a better speaker, so it sounds better. I use it daily to turn on my lights, check weather, listen to pandora. There is also an app to make your phone ring if you lose it.

Great device that is small and responsive. Exactly what I was looking for.

Once app is downloaded and connected to your WiFi it is easy to work with.

The kids love talking to echo and he response it makes. They like it due to it will sing and Ali back to them It is a great tool to have

If you love technology then this is for you. Echo works great. Setup was easy. Adding additional features is easy. The app walks you through everything. I use it for weather updates, creating shopping list, ordering pizza. There is still more that it can do.

I've gotten so spoiled having my Echo dot that I needed to purchase another one for the living room. I love being able to ask Alexa to play music while I'm working around the house, if I need a quick weather update and my phone is nowhere to be found. lol

Excellent as an add on to one of the other Echo's or as a standalone unit.
