What can I say, that already, mostly everyone knows! Play music, ask time, turn on and off lighthen, timers, games, control smart devices, thermostats, intercom functions, IFTTT functionality, Bluetooth, and many more features!

Purchased Echo Dot for my daughter. She set it up herself. She loves it.

This is the fourth Echo Dot I've purchased. I have one at home, at work and gave on to a sister and friend. I really love the ability to call from the Dot to someone who either has one or call from the Dot to someone's cell phone. I use it almost every day to tell me what the weather is expected to be like for the day. Alexa can give you a synopsis of the events of the day, play music and podcasts, link to your cell phone to stream music, place orders on Amazon Prime and much more. Honestly, there are tons of things an Echo Dot can do that I do not use it for. I am aware that there are some privacy concerns with all of these helps like Goggle Assistant. One has to be mindful of that. As with all technology, it has it pluses and minuses.

Easy to set up. Works! Plays music and gives me weather, news, and other features. Sound is ok for a small speaker. Ease to hook up with Blue Tooth. Allows me to submit feedback on answers to me questions. Low profile and does not take up much space.

Easy to use. I love it when it tells me stories or play Christmas music.

The amazon dot is pretty good for general info like news and sports scores. its does work great with philips hue lighting system, you just tell alexa what light to turn on and off. There are a lot of skills to enable, so there is a lot of content alexa knows when you enable the skills. Over all I like the amazon dot, its pretty cool to mess around with
