    I love my Echo dot. I use it in a room without a light switch, and it allows me to operate the light by voice. In addition, it is a decent speaker for playing music, so long as you don't expect great sound quality. I'm sure there are lots of features that I haven't used yet, but the ability to turn on the light is simply wonderful.

    We have some connected devices - lights, Logitech harmony etc that can take commands from Alexa. We have three of them in different parts of the house to control these devices. My wife loves asking the dot about the weather and other stuff. This is a great device for the price. Can't wait for the Sonos support in a few months.

    The first Echo Dot you buy will be awesome. You’ll love how useful it is, especially if you want a hand-free way to listen to music and get information. I love it! However, adding a second Dot for multiple room playback MAY disappoint you, as it did me. This is because, at the time of this review, the only music service you can use to play on multiple Echos is Amazon Music, which I’m not a fan of. If they end up adding Spotify multi-Room support, I’d be quite happy.
