Good but for smaller purposes

These are good but I prefer the normal Echo for music. Being larger and having a better audio setup, the Echo works as a standalone speaker much better. This has been good for my daughter's room as she plays but isn't something I would use for myself on a regular basis. That said, I like how easy it pairs with devices. We put one in the living room and it works with the soundbar perfectly. The microphones pick up voices well. The amount of accessories for this is incredible. The ability to limit use using FreeTime is great. Don't buy the kids edition if you already have FreeTime from a kids Fire tablet!

Simplest intercom option around

Best option was to add 3 dots to the Echo. Easily added each unit to our wifi network and one Youtube video later we had an effective and versatile intercom system. Super simple operation, but Alexa has some issues with non-typical names.

Great for kids bedrooms

Makes it easy for kids to listen to music, set alarms, check weather, get spelling bee words. Awesome addition at a decent price.
