Using this to control our Sonos speakers mainly but using a lot of other features and “skills”

This is my second Echo. I have an original Echo. Purchased the dot for upstairs. Love ability to link with my wink. Kids love to ask Alexa questions and to tell a joke. Big fan of the Echo system.

Once you pop you just can’t stop! If you’ve never had an Alexa make sure to sign up for Amazon music or some other music platform that is supported, it’s a huge part of what’s great about Alexa, set timers, make announcements (with multiple Alexa), drop into other rooms in the house, set alarms - we even control our microwave! Use it to turn the tv on and change content. Great decide and cheap! If you have a stereo system or soundbar then you can either use the headphone out to connect or go via Bluetooth for better quality audio.

The Echo Dot is such a great buy for the money. It doesn't pack the punch of the bigger ones but the music is clear and the reception is perfect. Small enough to hide anywhere as well.

This device does a lot of things but I think my family's favorite is getting it to play music

This had been the most used Christmas gift in our house! My 9 year old uses it for music, an alarm, weather, etc. She loves it, thinking about getting more for the rest of the house

The Amazon products are amazing. I picked up an Echo on Prime Day and have ended up putting Dots in every room in the house, including the patio. Great sound and Alexa is ridiculously cool.

Great little tool very informative easy to shop with Amazon also great games and trivia and a Wiz of info and knowledge an easier to work with than Google even played my Pandora station

Bought this as a gift after seeing someone else buy one. Great price point and a great gift. Fun to mess around with and give Alexa commands useful when connected to an amazon account.

I've also got an amazon tap, and while music sounds better from it, this dot is awfully convenient and nice just to have sitting in one place. Easy to mute the mic, and sounds fine....

This is a great product, it hears speech very well with great accuracy compared with a cell phone voice recognition its streets ahead. This one is in Germany. Set your amazon account location and it was quite happy being in germany and it would tell you the local weather. It plays music from spotify exceedingly well, it will recognise a heavy german accent with no problem. It can control lights etc with the help of a compatible hub, you set this up in the accompanying app. It is lacking in access to more general information, ask it the times of the local trains and it does not understand so no access to something like a search engine, might be wrong but it appeared like this to me. The best use does seem to be play music from your spotify account through a bluetooth speaker.

The echo dots has better sound than I expected. It is an amazing product for its price range

While the Echo Dot is not the loudest speaker out there, it is very convenient. As soon as I get into my room I ask it to turn on the light and play music on pandora or Amazon Music. It wakes me up in the morning and gives me a briefing of the news. I wish I could use it to send text messages or call other people through regular calls and sms. But overall, Alexa is a great entry to the IoT (Internet of Things).

I have many Amazon smart products and this works as expected. Easy to connect to the WiFi and the sound is good for such a small speaker.

I used to communicate with my Lutron Caseta lighting system with my iPhone via Siri. The Echo Dot changed all of that as I almost exclusively use the 9 Echo Dots distributed throughout my home to control the lights and other connected home devices. I also use the Echo Dot to control my Honeywell Smart Thermostats (RTH9580WF) and Harmony Hub. I have connected several of the Echo Dots to Bluetooth speakers (Fluance Fi30) for improved audio via a wired connection when listening to streaming music via Pandora or Amazon Prime Music. The Echo Dot is very user friendly and easy to set up. I am very impressed with the artificial intelligence and functionality of the Echo Dot.

While Alexa has informational uses, it is also a family fun time. She tells jokes, can be used as a timer, or even used to help with homework. Easy to set up and takes up little room.

In very happy with the echo dot. I hooked it up to a light switch and now my lazyiness is getting out of hand lol. Truthfully it is very handy when I have to change my baby's diaper at night and I can just say "Alexa lights on". The sound is not the loudest but that is expected, I hooked it up to my JBL blutooth speaker and it's awesome. My plan next is to buy a smart thermostat so I can turn the air and heat up and down as I plead and also control it when I'm not home. For the price tag on this echo you can't go wrong. I am also really surprised as it can hear my commands even though it is right under my television speakers and through all that background noise I still have no issues.

Pros: Easy to connect to your Bluetooth speaker. Easy to install. Cons: the sound quality

This is a great product caught it at 39.99 and I'm impressed definitely a must have and at half the price of the big one I'm impressed with all that this does and yet I'm still learning I love it

We absolutely love this product! We bought 5 of them to put in all the rooms. I use them as intercom to talk to the kids and they love it to listen to music and alarms for the morning
