Alexa is able to give information on just about anything. You can play games with the Echo, listen to bed time stories, and even let Alexa insult you or others. It’s worth every penny.

I find the Dot to be great! I own the Echo, but wanted similar things you can achieve with the Echo available to me in my bedroom. I read reviews where others complained of the speaker on the Dot not being adequate for their needs. That has not been my experience. I've found the speaker to be fine. I'm obviously not blasting music or "into" treble and bass, but the volume control and quality of the speaker is great for me. My bedroom isn't small nor is it huge, but the volume I can achieve with the Dot is perfect! If you also aren't a music "geek," for lack of a better term, and you've hesitated getting the Dot because of the speaker volume - DON'T hesitate. It's fine!

It’s my new alarm, for my room. Totally love it. I have the echo in my kitchen, but I love how you can go to room to room and listen to music or she’ll answer anything I ask. love it

Echo dot is a great product if you have smart home devices and a good speaker to pair with.

Easy to setup and use. Still haven't gotten to fully maximize use but lots of functionality

It took me about three minutes to set this up, and it works great. I hooked it up to a small tube amp (from Monoprice), and now have it pumping out tunes from Spotify. Works great, sounds great.

This is our 2nd Echo Dot in the house. It does what we need. Pretty good voice recognition.

We bought 4 echo dots for each of our bedrooms. We use them for music and as intercoms to talk to each other. We also use them as alarms in the morning. Perfect for all ages !

I own an Echo which works great but was tired of carrying it room to room. Purchased two Echo Dots. These work just the same as the regular Echo and was able to but two for $50.00 which was a steal. Love the ability to have Alexa in multiple rooms without having to unplug and plug the Echo.

This item works as promised. It is fun to use and a great value when compared to the full-size Echo. Easy to hook up to external speaker, but the sound isn't bad at all without an external speaker. The only reason I gave it four stars is that I wish it was rechargeable, cordless option.

Great little speaker for travel. Love that I can ask her about weather, time difference, etc. Kinda like Siri, but better. Also syncs to my Pandora & Spotify so I can play my music playlists and not have to do it all via computer, set up a speaker, etc. Just bring along the Echo!

The Echo Dot is a small but effective way to get into the world of Amazon Alexa. The Dot is a great voice assistant with timers and alarms, its very convenient to keep track of time. With IFTTT, you can add control from your Dot to many other devices,i.e., lights and plugs. And of course, there are countless questions you can ask Alexa like “what’s the weather?” or “what does my morning commute look like?” And for fun you can ask it something like “why is my son being such a knucklehead?” Technically, I haven’t had any issues with the Dot. It doesn’t drop internet connection and reconnects quickly if my router “hiccups”. It also reconnects quickly to any devices its controlling. Keep in mind, to be fair, the Dot was not designed to give great sound even when connected to external speaker(s). Its not a sound system... Just beware, I liked the Dot so much it convinced me to spend 6 times more for the Echo Show!!!

This device is easy to set up..easy to use..although it does have to get used to your voice and the way you pronounce things..but it works great and is small enough to put anywhere in home

This is the 4th one I've bought so I can have one in every room of the house. Great for use with any external speaker and very user friendly. Works well with Spotify for listening to music

This was the fourth Echo Dot that I've purchased. The first ones were for my home, and this was purchased to be used in a nursing home for a relative. I was afraid it might not work well in that invironment, with so many other devices connected to the Wi-Fi system. But it works flawlessly.

Love my echo dot. Speaker produces great sound. Connect easily. Set up in minutes. Learn new skills through app. Turn lights on and off. Many ways to enjoy the echo dot. Go ahead and get one.

I bought the echo dot for my granddaughter for her 11th birthday. She was so excited to get it for listening to music and to be able to turn her bedroom lights out without having to get up.

It just works out of the box. Connection to it and make it start working is just a breeze.
