We love it. We use it to set alarms and timers for my son and to voice activate his light. He loves that he can climb into bed before turning his light off.

I like having smart home devices and being a person with apple products I waited and waited for them to come out with theirs. I wasn't that impress with the HomePod or how Siri has advanced. I feel Google and Amazon of your top choices. Google is better with information and Amazon is better with is comes to shopping and consumer products. Amazon was the first to come out with a mini device so I jump on that. Now I have two of these, an Echo Show and FireTV Cube. I like them all and love how easy it is to expand on them throughout my house.

Really neat, picks up voice with no problem. Response time is quick.

We set up two of these Echo Dots in our home, and use them for everything from weather reports to sports scores to listening to music. We even surprised visiting relatives when we were discussing a certain song and I said out loud 'Alexa, play Cupid Shuffle'... and it did. When the same relatives asked it to play a certain artist and it did, we heard them discussing getting one for their home. Note, it's much more useful if you have an Amazon Prime account, since it can also play all your stored (free!) music. We love our Dots!

I have an amazon echo and I was looking for to have access to alexa upstairs in my bedroom. So this was the perfect way to do that. It's just as easy to setup as an echo (a couple of minutes in the alexa app). I recommend echo's or dots for everyone I know. They are great and very easy to use. The only con of the dot is that the speaker isn't very good so you won't want to listen to music on it. I bought a cheap Bluetooth speaker and I use it to listen to music. The dot works just like the echo. You just have to get used to the alexa voice not sounding as full (until you add your own speaker).

Echo Dot is great, I have my Bluetooth speaker, Hue lights and Ecobee thermostat all programmed. Also great for playing my Pandora as well. A must have!

got it as a gift, thought of it as a cool gag now use it all the time to ask for weather, news, jokes, etc. kids love it. only thing i wonder about is whether amazon is listening to all my conversations when we arent asking alexa a question

I use my Echo Dot for so many things. Alarms, music while cooking dinner, to do list, ask questions about the weather or, actually anything!

I bought 5 Dots For all over the house. The sound is great. I love these things! I especially love “dropping in” on my kids in their rooms. Can’t live without Alexa now! I Play a lot of music, set timers, grocery list and sleep sounds. AND it calls my phone when I lose it 20 times a day. I also got an Echo Plus (with built in Phillips hub) and can now control all the lights through out the house. My little ones love being able to control their lights with their voice and ask for knock knock jokes. They also ask for the weather so they know how to dress. Fun stuff.

Product does exactly what it says it will do. As an Amazon Prime member I like that I can stream music. Sound is OK+ but recommend a paired Bluetooth speaker

This is my first product for entering into virtual assistant speakers. Good: Responsive and sweet AI voice to get more info and play music from various sources. Bad: Volume is soft and base is virtually absent. Resolution: Upgrade to echo plus second gen. Ugly: listens all the time and sometime interjects into conversation with wrong trigger word. Resolution: Change word to: Computer, Echo or Amazon instead of Alexa. Hopefully this is helpful to new customers, who are hesitant to purchase echo dot. Thanks for reading..

This is my fourth Echo Dot. We have them in range of every common area in our home. They are great for music and creating a smarter home. Highly recommend!

Biggest thing for me is the integration with Hue, Nest, Harmony remote and other home automation. Can tell Alexa to Turn on the tv, change the color of the lights, turn the temp down, etc. Got a full size for family room, and the Dots for other rooms

We have six of these throughout the house do I need to say more? They are small they are handy and they make home automation easy to implement.

The Alexa app is a great personal assistant. Plays music, manages calendar, reminders, shopping list, reads Audible books. Simple to use and versatile. Love it.

A friend of ours had one and we really liked it. Got this on Black Friday and we have enjoyed it. We got a smart outlet plug and we can turn it on and off through the echo. We also bought a Ring doorbell that we can ask Alexa to answer if we want to.
