As a first purchase, the Echo Dot is an affordable amazingly great entry-level product. It does everything the Amazon Echo does, but without the high quality speaker. For the size, the Echo Dot has a great sound, but doesn't compare to the Echo. As an add-on, the Echo dot is an EXCELLENT way to spread the goodness that is "Alexa" throughout your home. To be able to get information from the internet vocally from anywhere in my home is just amazing, & the speech recognition is also just as amazing. I praise this product to everyone!

Bought this item for Christmas for 2 of my kids. They love it, and so does the rest of the family. We use it as an alarm, for weather and for music.

The echo dot is a great item which provides many features. I use it for listening to the radio, music, making and following a schedule i.e. reminders, and asking questions. I am very happy with and most definitely recommend this item.

Works good, takes up very little space on the night stand.

For only $30, you really can’t go wrong with picking one up. I bought three of these to put around the house. I use them with my Wemo Light Switches to control my lights throughout the house and the Wemo Smart Plug to control my fans.

Great with voice recognition. Plays nice radio station/songs on your request. Very well recognizes the bose Bluetooth system etc and plays from it.

I love this little guy! I purchased 2 for my daughter, i for my friend another for my self and will be buying a few more as Christmas presents. They sync up with the Echo just fine. What a great gift to give to your family or friends.

I purchased the Echo Dot to be used in our recreation area of our home. It works so great that I purchased the Echo Show for the living room. The Echo Dot is such a good value for the price. I am thinking of buying it for the garage.

Perfect size and sound quality for a small room. I have the large Echo in my living room but needed another device for upstairs. This works perfect.

I love Alexa! I have an echo, and several echo dots. They work well together, and can be combined in different groups. Good sound quality.

The Dot is fun using. Great for setting timers and reminders. Speaker gets pretty loud but connects to external speakers as well for higher quality
