I love the Dot. It's a smaller version of the echo. It works the same and the smaller speaker is really good. It makes has a big sound.

So handy for setting an alarm and finding out the latest weather forecast. Pleasant to fall asleep to your favorite playlist.

It does what it says and works great. Also it’s a great gadget for kids. My granddaughter loves to hear the jokes Alexa says and stories she tells. It works great with turning on and off lights with the smart lights.

The Echo "series" - Show, Echo, Tap, Dot, Look - keeps growing and growing. For the most bang for the buck, you can't go wrong with the Echo Dot. Compact and feature packed, it has all (well almost) the advantages of the more expensive members of the family, and can sit unobtrusively on a table, desk, or shelf. The one big (sort of) issue is the lack of quality speakers, but it makes up for that by having the option of adding speakers via the audio out jack, or via Bluetooth! Couldn't be happier with the Dot.

Like that I can set several timers at the same time by voice while cooking. Changing music and volume hands free while busy or hands messy. Music without commercials. News briefing, weather or other quick apps.

Easy to set up and start using right away. Great for keeping lists and providing immediate info. Jokes are corny but make you smile.

The Echo Dot works far better than I expected. I use it to control my lights and Sonos Speakers and am very pleased with its performance. After learning to be very specific with my commands it has responded perfectly.

I had put together my own AVS device with a Raspberry Pi for about $40 and used it often for news, weather, jokes, etc., but I missed being able to play my Amazon music with it. Of course, the echo dot does it quite well. The speaker provides better sound quality than one would expect given its size, however it relies on having a hard surface beneath it to project anything but minimal volume. Alexa voice recognition has been flawless also. Just wish I had more time to play and create some skills for it!

The Echo Dot is amazing my only reason for purchasing it was the smart home voice control features. But I found after that I use the Echo Dot for so much more. I loved it so much I bought a second one for my Office!

Bought the Amazon echo dot for Christmas for my wife. Hooked it up to our wi-fi and my wife loves it. Many times we have questions about former rock stars, actors, the weather that day and even answers to crossword puzzles. We're learning to expand our uses. When we ask for a song to be played "Alexa" is right there. And the sound is great from such a small device. Alexa will do more for us as we learn to use her for more of our everyday needs. Very pleased with the echo dot and so is the wife.

I love being able to play music, set timers, use the apps and control my SmartThings devices. Definitely an advancement for the home.

Easy to use no Complains at all. Added all the smart plugs to the skills and works perfect. Have the echo plus in the living room and this one in the bedroom. We use the Drop-in feature a lot. Perfect for my family.

I always thought you had to link this with an Amazon Echo. I was wrong, I just really never read into the item's full description. Alexa is a fun item to have around the house if you have a question and need a quick answer or want to know the weather forecast. Alexa doesn't know everything, but I'm still working on that. I like the fact that you can listen to music through a bluetooth speaker with the Echo Dot. This doesn't quite do as much as the Echo, but it does what I need it it to do at a fraction of the cost.

I love using my full-size Echo to control my home's lights and thermostats, and I wanted to be able to do that from the bedroom without a large device on my nightstand. The Echo Dot fills that role perfectly! Its compact size allows it to fit practically anywhere and brings the Alexa experience to any room in the house. Speaker quality isn't great, but I'm not using it to play music. However, if you want to do that, you can easily connect a speaker via auxiliary cord or Bluetooth. Highly recommended!

I use my echo for getting my bible verse of the day, cnn news local news and weather for the day. Great for information. I also like how it can play my favorite music stations.

This was a great white elephant gift. Every body wanted it. Nice and small but works just as good as the big one .
