This amazon echo dot 2 is great and very functional. I dont need to ask my daughter and my wife about the weather,alarm and sports.

I mainly use it to play music through my Bose Wave Radio via the aux cord and it works like a charm. For my quaint apartment it works fine and is able to pick up my commands no matter what room I'm in. Being able to order items by just speaking to the device is pretty sweet too. So you know, it does record darn near everything that happens as part of it's "learning process" so beware what you talk about or simply mute the mic. Not much more to say about this A.I. except Thanks for creating it Amazon lol.

Main uses for home automation, tv control, podcasts, reminders, shopping lists, This is what I use my echo for it works great. Some skills are mixed some work some don’t. Will add fire stick for streaming services so I can control it with voice. Chose this over Google Home cause it has more options.

My sister gave me one last year and I love it. It plays music, makes your grocery list, answers questions about famous people, gives you phone numbers. Tells you the weather and time and can be used as an alarm.

Using Alexa is great fun for the entire family, asking questions and getting answers. Unfortunately Alexa's memory has a ways to go. AI is great when Alexa has the answers, she just didn't have a lot of answers

Love the quick response and ease of use. Just ask her to do something and she does it. Sounds good and hands free to use.

I bought this Dot Echo for a large bathroom. It's the perfect size & can be placed anywhere out of the way. I plan to buy the battery pack so I can put it up higher on a shelf. I use it when I'm getting ready to listen to the news & music. It really doesn't need a bluetooth speaker but if you want one it can easily be attached. Also, the larger Echo in the adjoining bedroom does not answer when I speak to the bathroom dot. It works so well I'll add more to the other rooms. Try it, you'll love it!

I love my echo dot! I can listen sounds to go to sleep, I check the weather, I can turn on/off my lights and much more!

I purchased the Amazon echo and I loved it so much that I wanted one for upstairs in the bedroom. I keep the big one downstairs because I want this sound to fill the entire house but upstairs I just needed music for the bedroom. The sound. On the dot is perfect for my bedroom and bathroom. It is very easy to set up has all of the great features of my Amazon echo it just has a smaller sound system. For the price you cannot beat it.I have already had many friends buy it because I talk about it all the time

This is my second Alexa Dot and I am amazed with this technology. This device will deliver great music (get Amazon Prime, free commercial by the way), and all the information you need to get going with your day.

Being as cheap as they rare, you get a great little product. You’ll definitely want to use speakers with this.

We were given the full sized Alexa for Christmas, which we keep downstairs. She's wonderful, but we wanted her capabilities in the bedroom, without the size. The Amazon Dot, is the perfect addition. All the functionality, minus the larger speaker, which we didn't need. I just love asking Alexa to set an alarm to wake in the morning, and then ask her what today's weather will be or what major news stories happened while I slept. The dot is small, unobtrusive and very easy to set up to your WiFi network.

I have a few Amazon Echo's and they are excellent. Easy to program and I use mine with my Harmony hub to control my TV. Excellent

Every home needs an Echo, every bedroom needs a dot. Casual music before going to bed, alarm set for the morning - and news to get your day going. Doesn't have the sound quality of Echo, but great nonetheless.

My kids love this because they can ask it questions and tell it to do certain things so they have fun with it. However my kids are 4 and 5 years old and even they have complaints on it. As a speaker it is nowhere near loud enough. Also, even though it is not very loud you have to turn down the volume before you can ask anything if it's on volume 8-10. And last complaint is that it's not the best at understanding what we have to say. We do like how easy it is to set up alarms and timers and how easy it is to select music especially if you sign up for the Amazon music option.

Santa brought us this for Christmas. Very easy to set up out of the box, learning to give commands to they are understood by Alexa takes some getting used to. Internet search capabilities are somewhat limited beyond Wikipedia. We actually received a Google Home as well and decided to trade that in for an Echo. I was tempted to keep the Google Home because I read the internet search capabilities were better. However, Amazon Echo/Echo Dot seems to have more compatible smart home devices on the market, so decided to stay with Echo. Hoping the search capabilities improve as updates occur. There have been Alexa app connectivity issues over the Christmas holiday, but hoping this gets better as folks go back to work.

Love my Echo Dot for its compact size, nice design and all the functions it has. Very easy to install as well.

I am a first time buyer of the Amazon Echo Dot. It was not that expensive so I said why not. I purchased the Dot to help the wife. She said she won't use it but that did not last long. The shopping list feature is great along with the time for cooking and the kids in time out. Alexa does have problems with recognizing voices in load environments. I have her linked with my Nest thermostat and Spoitfy and Iheart Radio Accounts. The Dots speaker is good enough for music but I sync her with a wireless speak for louder results. I have considered purchasing a few more for each room. Overall with the home automation craze and many of the manufacturers using the Echo platform, I would recommend this item to others.

Love the Echo, can ask it for phone numbers, to play songs. My kids love to ask it homework questions, that I can't answer:)
