Bought an Echo Dot for my daughter and grand daughter for Xmas as a small, fun gift. They love them. They use them for many tasks including: shopping lists, calendar events, music, plus quick answers to questions. My daughter loves the shopping list feature. She is so busy and when an item comes to mind she simply tells Echo to add it to her list, which she always has with her on her cell phone. Also, the sound quality on the speaker is good—actually it is better than I expected.

I purchased the Echo Dot to be able to control my ADT Pulse devices and Nest Thermostat without having to open an app or use a pc. This is working out pretty good. At first I had trouble communicating with Alexa and her responding. As time has passed her ability to successfully perform my request has improved. There are other task that I would like for her to perform and I am waiting for the technology to advance. As of now what I need it for, it does well.

We love this product from using it as a cooking timer to having it play lullabies for oue grandson.

This is the perfect little music player for the bedroom. Good sound for such a small product but great price.

My wife has wanted these for a long time so this was a must purchase for us. We decided to go with the 2nd generation because it truly was what we needed. The 3rd generation looked cool and had more speakers but for us, this worked perfectly and the price point was very hard to beat. So far, we are elated with the purchase. We are still trying to figure out some of the commands and how to do things, but that is just user at this point.

I didn't expect this gift to be so amazing. I recently got this for my girlfriend because I didn't know what to get her, and I kept hearing about the echo dot almost all the time on Pandora so I thought "why not" maybe it might be a good gift. It turned out better than expected she uses it all the times for alarms and listening to music and checking the weather. One of the BEST hands free devices out there. I would recommend for anyone that's looking for a last minute gift idea.

This is a nice addition to my sound system. I can ask Alexa to play a song, provide the news or play a trivia game.

We bought the Dot after purchasing and using the Echo Plus. We like it but have not figured out how to get the two to talk to each other. It would be better if instructions came with the products.

The echo dot is super fun and it's not at all expensive. It's very accurate and does way more than I thought it would.

Great little gadget if you are a prime member. I just moved into a new house, and it was nice to have a little portable speaker that I could control with my voice when I was repainting the house.

An affordable way to get into the growing world of voice recognition devices, the Amazon Echo Dot is both a fun toy and a piece of practical technology. At first we used it for jokes, fun facts, and music as we uncovered the Dot's functions layer by layer. Eventually we integrated it with different apps (like scheduling calendars) and lights around the house. The voice recognition is outstanding at this price point and it is one of those gadgets that you didn't know you couldn't live without until you get one. Bluetooth syncing is easy and user friendly and "Alexa" has personality and doesn't get annoying. If you don't enjoy it at this price you're not overly committed.

The echo dot was easy to set up and link with other Bluetooth devices and the sound is good quality for being such a small device. I wish it had slightly better answers to searches, however.

The echo dot is a great addition to our other echo devices. It also allows voice control of our fire TV and adds to the whole house sound system as well as control several lights in various rooms.

I decided to purchase this item after seeing it at a friend's house. Loving it! So much fun to interact with. I do wish there were better search features, but I am hoping this improves with time.

It’s fun to figure out all that Alexa can do. The sound’s pretty good for such a small device & can be added onto. The price is right too, I bought a few for stocking stuffers.
