Small size can set up any where . Pretty loud. Comes in different colors to fit the color scheme of the room.

I think this is one of the best things I have ever bought. I use this multiple times throughout the day. You can use it to set timers, set alarms or to check the weather. This is the third Alexa speaker that I have in my household. Every week I find a new feature to this smart speaker. I also use my Alexa for basic, everyday questions. Great smart speaker for anyone looking to get one at a great price! Would definitely recommend!

My daughter love her Echo Dot, the sound is awesome, it was very easy to set up, the color was cute also.

We have the full size one in the living room but needed something for the bedroom, this works perfect. Sound isn't great, but it definitely gets the job done if you want Alexa in multiple rooms.

We use the echo dot all the time to control our home automation equipment, we paired it with a Hue kit and love it! We are planning on adding more stuff in the future to be able to control more!

In the late 1960's, I worked on a research project that included voice recognition. It was hard, especially with discrete logic since integrated circuits were not around. It worked for "yes" and "no". That was it. Today, I am having great fun with home automation. Naturally, I wanted to add voice recognition. I got an Echo Dot to add to my mix of Hue and SmartThings devices. It just worked. Then I added three more. Useful gadgets that seem to multiply.

I love my "dot." Alexa is very receptive. I talk to her just for play, and she keeps me entertained. Easy way to get any information that I want, even when I don't want to put forth much effort.

I’ve purchased numerous of these devices for personal use and also for gifts. Great gift even if someone doesn’t have amazon prime, can be used for music, trivia or to control your smart devices.

After tons of research and hundreds of reviews I finally decided to make the leap and get the Echo Dot, at the price they are at now it was a low risk. Wow am I glad I did, it can do so much more then tell me the news or give me the weather. We bought this along with a harmony hub remote and now Alexa can turn on our tv, Netflix dim the lights play our Spotify playlists and connects to our Sonos play 5. We are very pleased and can't wait for more controls to come out. The full Sonos connection coming later in 2017 will make this 5 stars and probably another Echo purchase for the basement. If you've been on the fence or waiting, take the leap, you'll be glad you did.

These dots are an easy way to access Alexa and are a good value. Frequently though I stump alexa with my questions and music requests - perhaps Google product has better native AI

bought this as a gift for someone. I've never used it, but I would be willing to bet it works as intended. I think google and amazon do a good enough job already tracking our moves on the internet, I don't really want to give them a microphone to put in my house. That's just me though.

Nice little speaker that does use Alexa just as well of the other Amazon official speakers. Speaker itself is alright, and the lack of a battery even for a small device like this is kind of obsolete in this day and age, but it does what it says it will do as far as your Alexa app goes.

I got this and two more for myself and as Christmas gifts. The price was perfect as DoorBusters on Black Friday and I expected them to be good. They turned out great and extremely popular. I am glad Echo was on sale. The size is perfect and technology is same as the speakers that made it famous. If you have used the original speaker and been around Alexa you would appreciate Echo as a very inexpensive way to get started with a new level of smart devices.

I had no idea what to expect from the dot. Thought I would have to buy the more expensive models to get the full Alexa experience but I was wrong. I love the dot and I love Alexa. I am still learning to ask useful questions but so far it’s been great. From playing music to weather conditions to trivia to adjusting our thermostat, everything has been seamless. Haven’t even ordered anything online yet but pumped for that. For the price, it’s a no brainer.

I now have 3 of these echo dots! The skills are amazing and useful. I believe that most people under utilize Alexa's skills and abilities. Productive and entertaining. I use it for news, smart home controls, listening to music and even as an intercom to call kids for dinner or chores.

From a price perspective, there is nothing else for $50 that will do as much as the Echo. Or rather, have the potential to do as much. I bought 3 of these for my home. They're all connected with the Philips Hue bridge, a Logitech Harmony hub, and a few ad-hoc iDevices and TP-Link smart devices as well. Amazon has a huge library of integrations (skills) that can be used with these, and for better sound quality, just pair with a bluetooth speaker. They work very well.

I love this Dot. It is nicely sized so it isn't obtrusive in any room. And as a bonus the sound isn't bad either

The dot syncs with the big echo and I can control lots of things in other rooms. The kids got a surprise when I told Alexa to turn off their bedroom light. It was bedtime. They got the message.

Live our Echo Dot. We had a house full of kids that Alexa kept entertained for several hours. We have a smart plug connected, and Alexa turns the light on. Planning to add to our smart devices.

Got it for my 12 year old son. He loves it. Uses it to control his bedroom light and checks the weather everyday.
