Had been looking at the reviews for the Amazon Echo but wasn't crazy about the price. Along came the Dot which does everything the Echo does at a much lower cost. I did try both versions at my local Best Buy and there is a huge difference in the sound but the Dot can hook up to your bluetooth speaker which fixes the sound issue. Very happy with my Dot.

You will find lots of uses for this item. Alexa is very helpful and has lots of capabilities. I bought these for my grandkids because they love to use my Amazon Echo when they are at my house.

The ECHO DOT is a great product! I now have three of them located throughout the house and will most likely add two more. I use this with the logitech hub to control my stereo, TV, and blueray/dvd. It also controls my WEMO lights and I can adjust my thermostat with it. My wife, even uses it more than I do and she was somewhat opposed to it in the beginning. It will tell you the news, weather, a joke, read books, play music and even tell you good night! I love this thing!

We purchased the Echo Dot after our son asked for the Amazon Echo for Christmas. Got to keep up with the kids you know! I find it a fun gadget to have. I love the fact that I only have to give a command and I am able to work out, hear music, jokes, weather, daily stock market and even a compliment when needed. The one problem is, you have to remember those commands. Skills will only work when enabled to Alexa via the Amazon Alexa app. Alexa works through your home WiFi.

works well for communicating with spouse when they are at the other end of the house. sound on the Dot is not as good as my Echo Show, but it is cost effective. Easy to set up.

I ended up buying 3 Dots everyone was jealous over mine. It's fun and convenient and love all the features. I also bought a fire stick with Alex voice control ..having a lot of fun with both!

This is a great tool to help you keep things in order. I use for the alarm future, look up info, weather, time, and other things... It also plays music and talk shows using I hear radio.

This item is a great addition to an existing echo or as a stand alone. It has good sound and can easily connect via Bluetooth. The app is very helpful and can allow easy customization

I had received this as a gift and decided to buy one for a gift. Great sound. So easy to operate.

I purchased two Amazon Echo Dots for my home. I've used it to control my Hue Lights and my Harmony Hub. I couldn't be happier. The skills that you can add to it and IFTTT integration let you do almost anything. It is able to understand both myself and my wife and have had no issues with it missing a word. Some things, like the Twitter skill, need work but it is fun to try everything it has to offer. You will need to download their app on your smartphone to help with setup.

If you have the devices to interface with this device it is great. It is really convenient to have a device you can just speak to and get search the internet without turning on your computer.

Its hard to go anywhere nowadays without hearing about "Alexa", Amazon's handy tool that does almost anything you could think of right out of its Echo devices....the Dot being the smallest option and for the price its a great option to have around the house. I bought this for my mom along with an additional Bluetooth speaker (because the speaker on the dot is not that loud and she wanted to listen to music) and also purchased an additional Smart switch so that she could use the Dot to turn on her light with her voice and it works great. It seems like every day Alexa gets more and more options of functionality which really helps future proof it. Great device

This is our household’s favorite voice assistant! We have 4 in the house and have given half a dozen more as gifts- its ability to connect to just about any smart gadget is its best feature!
