The echo is a well built product but it depends on what you want it to do. If you want it to be smart and answer questions that are not related to today's weather etc...go with a Google Home. If you have any home automation like Smartthings, Wink, Vera this is the place to be :)

I got this Echo dot for Christmas and it has really been useful. I have a young child who loves listening to nursery rhymes and Alexa is great about giving us different versions of the songs to keep her interested. I also let my other child use it when he has good behavior to listen to music while playing in the gam room to optimize his play time. I also like that I can use it to drop in on the kids when they are not downstairs with me.

The echo is user friendly, use multiply apps. Also, love the sync to speaks very easy to use.

I love it, and I am still learning everything you can do with it. Love that I can mutli-task, and have some fun with it. If I have an internet question, it often does not know the answer - but google would know. But that could just be me getting to know what it can and can't do.

She likes my husband more than me. Turns on and off connected lights. Played any music that I requested.

The Amazon Echo Dot works as advertised. Plugged it in and it came on. Answers questions and plays music nicely

My dad is the hardest person to shop for. I was not sure if he'd even like it. But a week before Christmas he started seeing commercials for the echo dot. He would talk non stop about wanting one. Little did he know I already bought one from best buy online for him. Choose the pick up on store option. Everything was super easy. And when I got the email to pick up on store the line went very fast. The associate was very helpful and I was in and out in 15 minutes.

Amazon Echo dot is an excellent device for reminders, news, most importantly to ask alexa to play any music on your phone or tablet when paired and also ask to do calls from your phone. It also supports to control smart devices like bulbs, thermostat etc. I paired this device with iphone and then with my bose bluetooth speaker. when I ask alexa to pay pandora or radio or anything from phone it plays on bose bluetooth speaker which is so cool.

The dot is a fun device to use at home. Bought this gift for a co worker and they are enjoying it very much. Lots of apps that work with the dot. Has multiple uses and makes a great gift.

My wife has been jonesing for a voice assistant for awhile. I choose the Dot because we also have satelight radio and this one works with Sirius. We will see what else it can do for us.

We bought this Echo Dot for our baby's room. Because we already have two other Dots, the larger Echo, and several TP-Link Smart Plugs, we knew this would be a terrific and reliable resource to help make her room "smart" so we can use voice commands when our hands are full. I paired this Dot with a TDK Life on Record cube stereo, and we now have a nice & neat little set up for her room to listen to music, get weather updates, set alarms, have books read to us, etc.

I purchased one for work and it’s still really cool! Works great, sounds really good and is super compact!

Smart home is amazing I bought the echo dot, echo, with my new Phillips hue and dot and they work great together. I have this is my main room and the echo dot in my bedroom works great!!!

Speaker volume is adequate for a medium sized room. Voice control is responsive. Easy to navigate and use. Perhaps a tutorial on setting routines can be useful.

The echo dot is very easy to set up and use. It can easily moved from room to room and although it does not have the sound quality as the echo, it does produce good quality sound

I love my Amazon Echo, so I decided to give the Dot a try for my bedroom. It does everything the Echo does. It’s just smaller so the speaker isn’t as nice. I plan on getting more of these.

Very pleased with this..I now own 3 of them and I have purchased for gifts this year too..very happy and I no have mine linked to so many things in the house..Its pretty amazing and cool.
