I bought this echo dot for myself. Easy set up on the app. Works great. Connected easily to my wifi. Hooked it to a Bluetooth speaker and Listened to Christmas music all day. Love it.

The Echo Dot is very convenient smart speaker. I connected it to my Bose system and love it. Hands free use of my receiver to play music via pandora, iheart radio etc. get my weather and news briefings and local transit and traffic information. It’s truly a virtual assistant updating, adding to my calander, and creating shopping lists and reminders and sends them to my phone. Love this device. Makes life easier.

I have an Email chop and an Echo Dot. I love both of these items. Still learning all the skills they can do, but so far it's a very handy tool. Amazon music is awesome on these devices.

I don't care if Amazon is listening to everything I say (my conversations are pretty boring). I have gone all-in with the voice controlled lighting and AV systems in my house and while nobody really needs any of this stuff this gizmo works perfectly as a controller. Some people have complained that it isn't very loud but in my opinion if you think it should be you don't get the DOT. The Dot is a supplemental item, not the core of your sound system. It is plenty loud enough for my bedroom and most other rooms of my house. If it wasn't loud enough I would output the audio to a bigger better speaker, but I don't find that necessary.

Bought this as a present for my parents and they loved it! It is very easy to set up and simple to use! Lots of features and compatibility!

Bought this for my daughter after we bought the Echo- she loves it and it is very small, but has great sound!

Plug it in..follow the directions. Works great in a smaller room...like a bedroom or home office. And, with the plug, no more getting up to turn on the brighter lamp across the room!

Alexa is great. She controls all the smart appliances in my home. Unfortunately she just doesn’t always understand me (I’m not sure if I’m speaking too fast or if it’s the background noise) which can be annoying at times. I would still highly recommmend getting one though.

This device is a great no brainer purchase if you are looking to add a voice assistant to your home, or especially if you are interested in converting parts of your house to feature smart electrical fittings and appliances. It is very intuitive to use, and you'll find yourself using it for more and more each month. It can be a little annoying and stubborn, but there are never any charges for upgrades to the cloud infrastructure!

Bought the amazon echo for my significant other along with the Philip's hue. He was really impressed with its capability to sync with smart home devices. Alexa is also a great personal assistant. The skills that can be downloaded for the echo dot are awesome. Was going to get the amazon echo at first but since we already have a wireless Bluetooth speaker decided to got with the echo dot instead since it syncs with the speaker. An awesome product! :)

I had great expectations about the Echo. Some have been realized, but it does have its limitations. There are a lot of things that I have asked about that it just didn't know the answer to. But there is a huge amount that it does know about. Right now, it's playing the "Famous Blue Raincoat" album by Jennifer Warnes that I requested to hear - awesome. I expect that its knowledge base will continue to grow, and I expect a bright future for Echo. The Dot has pretty good sound, but really needs an auxiliary speaker, which is easily hooked up. I recommend it highly. By the way, I also have the bigger sister, which has a much better speaker.

Alexa does a great job in searching the Internet via voice commands. We also enjoy having her keep a timer while working in the kitchen. Great tool to augment your existing computer.

i like it. wish the speaker would sound a little better and the speaker was pointing up not down. its had issues with a few questions and picking up my voice but still a cool device.

Great for a 7 yr old. all you hear is her singing along with Alexa when in the shower. She even turned on her karaoke player and put alexa next to the microphone and really jams out.

I bought this as a gift for my mother. Worrying that it wouldn’t work well for her, my troubles were set aside by how easy the device was to set up and use. Plus, my mother loves it!

This is so much fun to play with. You can talk to her or have her play music and look things up for you

I purchased the Echo Dot for my son, to compliment his recent acquisition of the full sized Echo. He set the Dot up when he stopped by my place and demonstrated the product for me with various commands to play music, set timers and play games. My 6 year old granddaughter also used the Dot and showed how easy it is for a child to operate. I see this item becoming one of the strongest selling and forward going items to hit the market for a number of years.

Definitely worth getting. Helps with everyday questions and when used with smart house devices, it definitely becomes better.
