Great device to help with day to day and also to just have fun. Listening to music and setting an alarm.

It does everything the amazon echo does. I own both. You don't need the echo in order for this to work. The only difference I have found is the speaker quality is not as good but the speaker is small from the compact size. I plan on buying a few more to place around the house so I can speak to it normally and not have too yell across the house. I have wifi bulbs through out my house and found that I only turn them on and off any via voice command.

We now have four of these. There are more useful skills every day. With prime, we listen to a lot of music on the echos. The dot has decent sound but our echo plus had great sound. The kids use these as alarm clocks. We use these to control a few lights in the house .

Easy to install simple to use. I use it to control my smart home. Awesome product for the price.

Perfect size for my needs...I didn’t need the fancy one for lights and stuff so this was perfect!

I have loved this thing since i got it. Love asking for my favorite teams score updates, what the weather is going to be and to play my favorite country songs off Spotify. Amazing

This device works with IOT devices such as lights, thermostats, garage door opener and others by allowing voice control. Also great for playing music on cammand and for providing various information such as tomorrow's weather, current news, facts about most any subject and building shopping list as I think of items and then accessing on my phone when I am in a store. Friends are dazzled when they visit and several have already purchased their own.

This little gadget is a nice addition to my automation system. It takes a little getting used to figuring out what she wants you to say but once we get that down it will be great.

Great for background music and she is a smart little gal she answers all kinds of questions. I hooked her up to a Bose Bluetooth speaker for better sound. Great device.

I had wanted an Alexa companion device for the longest time, but I did not want to spend a fortune for the larger Echo device. When I heard the we're releasing a new one in October for $50, and when I saw it in-store on Black Friday, I knew I had to get one. Over the last month, I've used the Echo Dot every day for various purposes: news, sports, weather, music, etc. So far, it is exactly what I was looking for, and it's the perfect size for my bedroom. I even went as far as to try Philips Hue with it, and it works really well. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the Echo Dot, and I think a lot of other people would like it too.

The echo is fun to own. After a year owning it we are still enjoying it. Wish the volume would go a little louder but for the size of the echo it’s fine.

We bought this after purchasing an echo. They work very well together. You can use them as an intercom system for your house and you can listen to music on both at the same time.

I bought this as a gift as I already had one and love it. The price is right and it works great.

I bought one for each of my children and grandchildren (above 14yrs old). They are all loving it! Alexa can be very informative and I like that she is always learning new things.

I am enjoying my echo dot it is very helpful. I use for everything from listening to music to keeping track of my apointments. Can't wait to start using it for smart home purposes.

We bought an echo first and held off on the dot because we couldn't find enough information on the quality of the dot's speaker. When we found ourselves moving the echo around from room to room we figured it was time for the dot in the bedroom. Well it turns out the dot is fine for a nightstand radio quality device. We play music while going to sleep. Dot is good enough for that without an external speaker. And we tell her when to turn off.

For $30 a unit I now have Alexa in multiple rooms in my home. The newer software update lets me stream multi room music that is perfectly synced.. This feature is worth $30 alone

We have a couple of these located In the house along with Alexa. My wife uses one in the kitchen for recipes, timers and measuring conversions as well as listening to her favorite music. The other is located in the family room where it's used to make reminders, timers and answer all our questions that come up. Alexa is set up in the living room so we're covered in almost every part of the house.

Love my Alexa so of course needed to get the dots for the rest of the house. Obviously not as good of speaker but does the job for a smaller room. Links perfect to my Alexa plus.

Really like the dot. It is worth every penny. I use it for everything from commanding it to play music, ask general questions, and home automation like turning lights on and off.
