Really like the dot. It is worth every penny. I use it for everything from commanding it to play music, ask general questions, and home automation like turning lights on and off.

I bought the echo to pair with my Sonos speakers and my Sonos connect. Along with control my Philips Hue lights. Sometimes Alexa gets it right sometimes she does not. I rearranged my scene names in Hue to see if that would help. That’s to be determined. As far as Music over my Sonos speakers and Sonos connect it has not been a good experience. I have Apple Music and Alexa doesn’t play well with Apple Music. If you are everything Amazon you may fair better than I did, but I would like my echo to work with what I chose to buy not with what they chose to work with. Sounds easy but I’m sure it’s complicated. I’m not totally disappointed, and would recommend it at the current sale price of $29. It still has some pretty cool features.

We have a couple of these located In the house along with Alexa. My wife uses one in the kitchen for recipes, timers and measuring conversions as well as listening to her favorite music. The other is located in the family room where it's used to make reminders, timers and answer all our questions that come up. Alexa is set up in the living room so we're covered in almost every part of the house.

Love this. It has pretty good sound. I love the Echo more. But this is great for a small space.

This little echo is great! Got it as a gift for my mom for Christmas and she uses it all the time! Has amazing sound and it gets pretty loud! We normally have it on low as background music but we have tested the sound and if you want it for some loud music it's great! It also does so many other things than play music and mom has totally fallen in love with it! Definitely recommended if looking for a good speaker throughout the house and more!

Echo dot is a gate open to smart home. The price is acceptable and provides lots of fun at home.

I got this for my daughter (she lives with us). It's in her room and she can talk to it, get weather and music, all without talking to Alexa in the living room. Very cool!

Have one in every room works great, easy set up. Mostly listen to music so never without sounds.

Have several Amazon devices, the Alexa Dot is so easy to set up and small enough to put anywhere

This is the second Echo Dot I have purchased. We now have one upstairs and one downstairs. We use them as an intercom system which is a nice added feature of having two or more.

Small gadget but so powerful, a must gadget at home, speaker was small but it was descent!

Beautiful color, great size, could be louder but very useful. Extremely easy to set up.

I can't believe such power comes in such a small package. Works great and keeps getting better!

I like it because it's compact, I love the blue tooth , I can get lots of good news and good music

She has a lot to learn, but she is capable of learning. The only thing i really dont like is i dont think she is wireless. Id love to just move her from one room to the other. Financial speaking it makes since for the company to does this, but i dont like her cord.

Bought 2 one for each kid. Keeps them entertained when playing up stairs with each other, music and drop in function. Parents can drop in on the kids to see what they are doing.

I just purchased my 6th Echo. I have two 2nd Generation Echo's in my home and I purchased 4 as gifts. Most recently purchased a 3rd Generation for my elderly mom. She absolutely fell in love with Alexa when she stayed with me for almost a year. She loves listening to talk radio shows from Boston (now living in PA) and is able to through Alexa. I will be getting a third one for my home.

I loved the Dot so much that I later bought the Echo. I use the Echo in my kitchen and the Dot in my bedroom. I play music - there is plenty to chose from. I use ambient sounds for relaxation. I get my news updates or more in depth news if I chose. I listen to Ted Talks, NPR and podcasts. I add items to my shopping and to do lists, set timers and alarms. Plus there is much more to explore! All by using voice commands - It's genius.

I know it’s a still in it’s infantcy, but Alexa has a hard time understanding anything at time, and she says I don’t know that one over 60 percent of the time. The upside though, she works well with my smarthome
