I loved the Dot so much that I later bought the Echo. I use the Echo in my kitchen and the Dot in my bedroom. I play music - there is plenty to chose from. I use ambient sounds for relaxation. I get my news updates or more in depth news if I chose. I listen to Ted Talks, NPR and podcasts. I add items to my shopping and to do lists, set timers and alarms. Plus there is much more to explore! All by using voice commands - It's genius.

I know it’s a still in it’s infantcy, but Alexa has a hard time understanding anything at time, and she says I don’t know that one over 60 percent of the time. The upside though, she works well with my smarthome

I love this thing. I do have to turn the WIFI off every night to keep from getting migraines so having more WIFI electronics isn't necessarily a good thing. I do love it though.

Great size, speakers are solid and sound quality is amazing. Great product, specially for the prize.

This is just like the echo but smaller and cheaper if your not listening to music this is the way to go

I am an apple fan boy, but since Alexa decided to speak the truth and tell the world that the sonics were stolen from Seattle. I might have to reconsider the hometown tech giant.

I love using this with my connected devices. It makes me feel like Tony Stark. It can hear my voice perfectly from across our large living/dining room. My only complaint is not with the device itself, but the app. I wish I could choose my own custom wake word. Not just the amazon choices. But the device works fine and I love that I can use it to put my phone as a Bluetooth speaker. The sound of the speaker is okay, but not great. I have made good use of the AUX port by connecting it to a set of Bose computer speakers. This has made a huge difference.

My introduction to smart home technology was my Amazon Echo. Later that year I received my first dot. The Dot I connected to a set of Logitech speakers that I had for my PC and the result was reasonably decent sound. Then with an update we could group devices. Now I've added a couple more dots to the house, connected to stereo's already in place and now I can stream Pandora or tune-in throughout the whole house. Awesome!!

Works excellent, easy to connect, controls my lights and easily plays music via voice control.

I now have both the Amazon Echo and Echo Dot - one on the lower level and the other upstairs. The quality of the Dot speaker is much better than I expected when compared with the Echo. The convenience of having Alexa and the Amazon features throughout the house is great, especially when you can have the Dot wake you up or add to your grocery list when you really don't want to go back downstairs. In my view, it's a really good value!

Great little gadget. Limitations however lie however since really we only use it for music and games. Have bought one thing off of ebay but this is no Siri by any stretch of the imagination. Paired this thing with a bose bluetooth speaker and the music sounds great!

Works effortlessly with my existing Alexa echo. Mainly used as an intercom in my son's room so we don't have to tell crib down stairs, lol. But it also functions independently.

I like the fact that the echo dot is small and you don't even really know it is there until you use it. Has some cool add-ons that enhance the functionality tremendously.

I love the Echo Dot, this is the second one I own. Alexa is great to have around and integrates the Philips Hue. Ask Alexa to turn on the light and voila... the lights are on.

You got to get it and use it ! this is small but packs almost as much push as it's larger version Echo.

We initially had two Echo’s. When they went in sale I purchased a couple more. Now we have them in every room. Makes it very easy to ask it for information or do do other things around such as turning on the lights or the sprinklers. The speaker is very strong for loud music but it’s suitable for my needs. It is very easy to set up, especially if you already have other products connected.

Still learning the purpose for Alexia. But have gotten lots of entertainment from this device. Once it is connected to more features I can see where this device would be handy.

I bought my original echo dot when it first came out. Once they added the intercom/ drop in feature, i had to get another one. Now i don't have to yell downstairs just drop in.

Just simply amazing. Like having a roommate - but with the mess. Ask it anything and it will always have the answer. I have one in every room and couldn't live without it now.

The product is constantly evolving. Our biggest use is being able to adjust temperature on our Honeywell Lyric thermostat and change channels on Playstation Vue on our FireTV.
