Very nice intro smart device. Helpful for simple tasks like what's the weather or when my favorite team plays. Has limitations but for price very nice.

Easy Setup and good voice recognition. Limited uses as of now .. mostly good with Philips Hue

Solid little device. I have the Harmony hub and some smart light bulbs. Works great turning everything on. I can walk into the house and say "Alexa, turn on DirecTV" and without even putting my things down the tv pops on. This alone makes it an awesome purchase

It was worth every penny I spent. Reasonably priced. Cheap warranty. Amazon has excellent functions and learns new ones all the time. The device is super functional for people with disabilities. The app itself requires sighted help and since I’m completely blind it’s a little tricky but once it’s set up I can just talk to her and ask her any question and listen to sports and music. I love my Alexa.

Love this. Use it all the time for radio, alarm clock, ocean sounds to sleep.

My family has a blast with the echo. We ask silly questions and love the answers. The kids listen to music without having to find the songs. Everything at our voice command.

Alexas is the best and if you would like to try her out cheaply, this is the way to go. This dot will interface with many items and many more to come. Way worth the expense.

I love the Amazon dot. I also have the Echo in another room and use them to voice control a number of things throughout the home, as well as playing music, asking questions, and playing games. I connected her to a Bluetooth device that connects to my home entertainment system. That way I can listen to music through proper speakers, and her voice comes throughout the bottom floor when you speak to her. It's a fun device to own.

Does exactly what I want it to do, plays music, controls my smart home devices, gives me news & weather and so much more! Plus for the price, it really can't be beat at all!

Saves steps when other person's are in the lower level of house. Great for sending down a message from another Alexa. Playing music in a hobby room.

Decent. The 3rd generation is obviously better in terms of sound quality, but for the price, this is a good add on. I have 3; I want to buy more!

This one is a gift. I have 3 dots,1 echo and 1 echo show. We use them all the time my wife uses the shopping list and timer. I use the reminders, music and home automation.

Present for my daughter for Christmas. It was priced right, shipping was free and prompt. it was easy to set up. It's small, so it isn't in the way. I would buy this again.

I purchased this for a friend (who has everything) as a fun housewarming gift. I have one and everyone morning say Good Morning and Alexa gives me a fun fact for the day. I connected my calendar and ask her what's on my schedule to be able to plan my day, I listen to Pandora, ask trivia questions and check the weather. I also use it as a timer and an alarm. There are many mornings when I ask for 5 minutes so I can sleep longer!

Having read the reviews and seen the echo commercials on TV I felt like buying a Dot was a low entry point solution. After purchasing and installing the dot we have really enjoyed being able to play music and the other features of the device. When I got smart lighting and a smart plug to go along with It, we have changed the way we think about the house. Now I am going to get additional lights and switches. This has been a good buy.

I bought this to extend my existing Amazon Echo setup. The speaker is not great, but it is the perfect little device to extend home automation voice control to the kitchen.

Just purchased a second Echo Dot to have in my basement. Primary use for it other than random questions is for the intercom (drop-in) function. It works GREAT. Especially when we're having a get-together and someone is downstairs, instead of having to yell downstairs to get their attention, we can simply drop-in to the echo and talk to them that way. They're very convenient and easy to use.
