This has been a great addition. Multiple devices can be linked and get use all over the house. Works as an intercom system with the others, and can even make phone calls!

It's wonderful nothing more to say bought one for every room of the house and they were Christmas gifts for four different family members other than a very small speaker it does everything that the larger Alexa Echo does. As soon as they sell them for $39.99 again I'm going to buy more. The last one I purchased was out of the bin and as soon as I pulled it out they went and change the price on the sign to the regular $49 price.

Works much better than expected and very easy to setup. I ended up giving it to my 97 year old aunt in a nursing home. She is going blind and the voice commands and recognition are exceptional. She can ask for the time, weather, set and appointment or an alarm, or a news feed. Her most favorite use is the on demand music, keeps her company. I had to go and buy another one for me.

I was impressed with the quality and sound of my Google Home Mini device, but also curious to see how the Echo Dot compared. After buying this device I was blown away by the additional capabilities (aka Skills) that Alexa has. I ended up returning the Google Mini, which, while a great little device doesn't support Prime music, and doesn't match Alexa's extensive integration with other devices and services.

Easy to set up. Great little unit. Alexa works great. Excellent value. Also speaker is very good.

i have 7 of these around the house fully connected to my smart home, it is so simple to set up and then control the heat/air, lights TV, fans, xboxone, garage door and many other things! and its Amazon connected with Prime so all the music and the whimsical anecdotes that come with it are just so much fun, my little girl runs up to them and says " BU-LEXA!, play paw patrol theme song "

Still learning all it can do, but fun. A feature I love is the shopping list. I have it in my kitchen, so whenever I’m low on something I just tell Alexa to add it and it creates a list on my phone, super handy. Also love my daily customized flash briefings

The speaker is not as great as the full size, but that is of course to be expected. Portable size and great price makes it a perfect choice for a bedroom or travel.

Amazon Echo is a great product to begin with and echo dot just makes it convenient to use in places where audio quality is not the first concern. Easy to set up and use.

I really like the echo dot. If you have amazon unlimited music I highly recommend the echo! You can tell it to play whatever song you want. My biggest problem is the speaker doesn't get very loud. If you want to listen to music I suggest the bigger Echo.

I love the ease of getting some basic information and task done. After getting the Echo Dot, I bought an Echo to pair with it. The speaker on the Echo is much better than the Echo Dot. I have ordered a speaker to connect to the Echo Dot. I use the Echo as an alarm clock, timer, clock, weather, music, and to find content on my Firestick. I use it daily and often. Well worth the $29.99 I paid for the Echo Dot.

I have two Echo Dots and one Echo Plus, and they all integrate rather nicely. I've automated several light fixtures and switches, in addition to hooking up the Dots with other speaker systems. The microphone and voice recognition are awesome. We find ourselves listening to more music (throughout the house by streaming through all Echos now), and are beginning to experiment with ti as an intercom feature.

Bought this as a gift for my mom. She absolutely loves it, and the fact that we can leave each other messages. I’m not sure I want to teach her how to drop in just yet.

Received one as a gift and didn’t think I would use it. I find myself using it daily to get news updates, traffic and weather . . . very useful. Great for gifts as well.

My kids and I Love the echo dot. It replaces me from being the dictionary and alarm clock for my kids. They just ask Alexa and she tells them the answer. Great product!!

LIke the compact size compared to Echo. The speaker on the Echo is better though.

We have a few of these and love them. Use as a timer, play music, weather report, answering lots of questions and telling jokes. Bought this one to give for Christmas.

I bought this during a one-day sale for $35. In fact, I got two of them. I am a Google Home person, but I do appreciate this for what it will do. I recently bought Amazon Prime and the order feature is very nice. I play music on it all the time. I use it to listen to the news every morning. It was loud enough on its own if you are close, but I hooked it to a bigger speaker so it will broadcast throughout my house.
