I like the compact amazon echo dot. Also you can group and place them in various places in your home. They can also be connected to a blue tooth speaker.

I bought this during a one-day sale for $35. In fact, I got two of them. I am a Google Home person, but I do appreciate this for what it will do. I recently bought Amazon Prime and the order feature is very nice. I play music on it all the time. I use it to listen to the news every morning. It was loud enough on its own if you are close, but I hooked it to a bigger speaker so it will broadcast throughout my house.

Awesome product. I use it all the time. Great for music, general info, weather and so much more.

I have not yet use all of the features for this product. However whenever I do use it I have no problem. Alexa hears my voice all the way across the room. I also love how she answers to everyone else.

The Echo Dot is petite enough to fit in small spaces. It is unobtrusive and has great sound.

The Echo Dot takes up much less room than the full-size Echo, but still has acceptable sound, even without connecting to speakers. Its audio pickup is very sensitive and responds readily to different voices and varying words in requests/commands. You will need to go online or purchase a guide to get familiar with its capabilities; there are some techniques that when followed can make the Dot experience so much more useful.

Fun playing around with the echo and asking questions. Currently only have it hooked up to my pandora and amazon music. Would like to get some lighting controls for it.

Put into my kids rooms and they are in heaven. Used for everything, even morning alarms. Get it!

This is my first attempt to use one of these devices. I had a little trouble with connecting my device to a wireless electrical plug. Customer service did a great job.

Easy to set up. Fun to ask questions. And it can text and call other people with echo's

We added this to our existing smart home network to complement our Amazon Echo and Echo Spot. This is in a smaller room of 10x10 and works fine. We have it connected to a Bose speaker via BT because the internal speaker is only good for basic voice confirmation. The only difference between this and the Echo is the speaker so if you are going to hook up to a quality speaker save the money and get the Dot.

The family enjoys the music and daily trivia functions. Not always helpful with information, even if asking very specific/direct questions. Have to take the good with the bad, I guess. We like the ability to create shopping lists, and appreciate messaging each other remotely. Great to send the family a message when you are on the road. Not crazy about the “blips” when Alexa starts talking out of the blue, but this happens infrequently.

Pros - We have a new source for iHeart radio (besides our phones). Connects to portable speakers via Bluetooth. Good source for current weather & forecast, news & jokes. Cons: Doesn't sync with/play iTunes. Bluetooth speaker doesn't always sync (Bose Soundlink 2). Finding nearby restaurants, stores, etc. doesn't work very well (not sure if we need to tweak settings or if it's because we live in the suburbs of major metro area). All in all, good value/fun toy for $49, and it meant we could get rid of the old clock radio/CD player that hung under our kitchen cabinets (22 years old!!).

I purchased this to test out the interaction with my home automation. It works quite well. It didn’t understand the spelling of my daughters name, which did affect some control. Sent a note to Amazon, and they fixed the issue within 5 days. Pretty cool.

I got this just to help with my Harmony Smart control because the remote for it was so limited. I got the dot connected to Harmony and to Smartthings and it has made my life alot easier. I got a second when it went on sale because i liked it so much. Its pretty cheap to begin with so I couldnt pass up $15 off. It added on to my account without issues and now I can control everything from the bedroom if I need to.

Good speaker quality and love that it's not huge and can be in a small place.

I recently bought this item and I have to say that it's surprisingly easy to use. I thought you would have to be very specific and Alexa would only respond to certain phrases but it's a lot more responsive than I thought. Granted, with certain smart devices you connect to it you will have to be quite specific but for the most part it's very easy to just say a command and it'll know what to do. Very pleased with this purchase
