This Dot is great! I paired it with Philips Hue bulbs and can control the lights by voice command. I can get news first thing in the morning just by asking, no need to watch tv. I love listening to my favorite songs without having to search through playlists. I actually ordered another one to have on the other side of the house.

I bought as a gift but gave this a five star as I do have one and the price was awesome to givefoe a Christmas fift

This is the 3rd Dot that we have purchased. This one was a gift and it was well received. There are some improvements that can be made but it really is nice if you have an Amazon account.

Functions as great as the Echo, but audio suffers a bit due to its compact size. Still very happy with this though.

We have the full sized Echo and really like it. Got this to pair with it, and it's a nice accompaniment for another room to help control lights, etc. The sound quality is not nearly as good as the Echo with the larger speaker, but it has all the other smart home qualities and skills. For the price, a great partner to the Echo.

My father, who doesn't work a computer, now has the Internet at his disposal through Alexa. It's fun for an 80+ yo!

I wake in the AM, and ask the weather. I had to rely on wife to look at her phone, to tell me the weather. I'm thinking about leaving my wife for Alexa, that's how good she is! Wanted to buy more at Best Buy since it is a good price point for Christmas presents, but not surprised they are sold out. Looking to buy more at $39.

This is the 2nd Dot I have purchased for myself and I purchased 6 more for Christmas presents. I also have the Echo and the Tap. As you can tell, I believe in these Amazon products! The Dot works good by itself as a stand alone, but if you want good quality sound you may want to hook up to a speaker so then it will be amazing!

This is my second echo dot and I love it. Helps with calendar, music , traffic , weather.....etc. You name it and she figures it out. They are also great about adding new features and apps all the time. This is one of those products you didnt know you needed it until you have it! Also on sale for 39.99$ its an even better deal.

The dot is a great companion piece for the echo, we put it in the bedroom to use with the thermostat, alarms....etc.

This was a birthday gift for my granddaughter. She is enjoying playing games, checking facts and talking with Alexa.

Easy to set up and use, great value. Would recommend an Amazon Unlimited music account in conjunction with Echo Dot.

Bought for someone who "has everything", and I needed a fun gadget gift. It turns out that he really likes this and finds it useful. He likes having it by the bedside and being able to ask what time it is without having to turn on a light. He claims it's worth it for that alone, but he also like trying to confuse Alexa, LOL.

What I can say? Everything works perfect! Great coordination with smart features (like connectors & ligh bulbs), playing music, provide information (like weather and agenda items) and as entreteinment. Of course you can download a lot of skills and increase the capability of this smart feature

Works great to control my lights and Nest thermostat!!! Just doesn’t always have an answer for you on some things.

Nice to ask for music and timing cooking. Great to connect lights and house hold devices with additional adapters.

Wow! Talk about a fun gift item! I picked up three of these for my parents to have all through the house and they love them! The Echo Dot responds so well to all voice types that you almost feel she is real. The only drawback is that you can't play music through all the dots at the same time with the same song. Still love her!

Really all you do is talk to the device, if you ask the question correctly the Echo Dot will answer. You have to learn how to ask question, but after that the sky is the limit. whats the weather, what was the cubs score yesterday, how is traffic, how many oz in a cup. whats playing at the theater. Everyone should have one.

I bought one and loved it so much I bought another for my office. I use it to play music, set timers, get a quick news brief, notify me of deliveries, and to do multiple other tasks. I love that it connects with my grocery list app (Out of Milk) and my Google calendar. I also bought one for my mom as a Christmas gift.

I bought the Echo Dot to be able to listen to SirusXM at home, works good. Speaker quality is not great, but is ok.
