If you own a sound system, the Dot is a perfect companion. We have it connected to our stereo with the 3.5mm jack and it works perfectly. Alexa is used to play music from Spotify and Amazon Music as well as turn on and off our lights using a Belkin Wemo smart plug we purchased separately.

Alexa Dot is a great addition to your home. So much flexibility in all that it can do. Compatible with many products you can buy online or in the store. I love the music, I love the ease of set up and use, I love the way it helps make my home easier. Everyone should have one.

The Echo Dot works great for what it is. The speaker is a bit lacking, but for better/louder sound quality I would recommend the normal Echo. I have three now in the house, and am looking forward to Amazon adding more functionality between the Echo and the app

i have the larger one upstairs and this one downstairs so you can use it as an intercom system

Easy set up. Voice control works well. We mostly use it for music and weather updates.

Awesome product! Very reasonably price given that it nearly has all the same features of the larger models. I found it especially helpful to have been able to control my lights and music while I was on bed rest. I enjoyed it so much that I bought a second one for another level of my home.

I love this echo dot. It’s so convenient to control the lights using Alexa. The Jeopardy skill is also just as addicting if you are a trivia buff. I haven’t even mentioned how easy it is to play your music if you have Spotify or amazon music. Absolutely recommend this product

Alexa is great to have around, from pulling up and automatically playing your favorite song, to letting you know what the weather is going to be like for the day, or even letting you in on a great joke, the echo dot brings convenient joy into our home. Thank you Alexa

I bought 2 of these for my kids to go along with our current smart home setup. You cannot beat the ability to suddenly have an in home intercom system that is easy to use and requires no strange wiring. Beats yelling upstairs to the kids are having them ignore your calls hah.

Bought a home mini and echo dot at the same time. The home mini has a better speaker and returns better search results, but the echo dot has better mic that picks up your voice better which means I find myself having to repeat myself more with the home mini.

From basic functions like timers and reminders, to cooler things like sending messages to my friends who also have an echo; I love my dot and use it all the time. I have it hooked up to a stereo so playing my Spotify songs sound amazing. Highly recommend and have given as gifts.

Recieved as a gift and I love it so much I bought another for my bedroom. Now I have two, one for the living room and another for my bedroom. Helps find my phone when I forget where I leave it, sets alarms for me, can turn on or off my lights, and tell me the weather and time. I love it!

Finally stepped up to the plate and got into the Amazon Echo bandwagon; let me tell you, I don't know why I waited. Easy to connect, easy to teach it new skills, don't have to yell or talk like a robot myself to get it to work. Went out and got three more the next day and the actual Echo.

Bought for a 13 year old for something a little different. Was a perfect gift. She loves it.

Goes well with my Echo Plus. I got one for a friend and found out the hard way if you use it on it's own, you need a Hue Bridge to use the Phillips lightbulbs.
