I have never owned anything like this in the past to compare it to. Its worth the money I spent on it. Its easy to set up and fun to use. So far I have only figured out how to ask it to play a song or set an alarm but it has many other features I am looking forward to trying.

The Echo Dot is a simple to setup voted controlled home device that allows you ask questions (i.e. weather, traffic, restaurants near by) and control home devices like lights. If you are ready to have control over devices in your home I highly recommend this tool.

It integrates with all of today's smartphone applications amazingly. I can be in another room and tell it to start playing whatever Spotify playlist I want. I can have it tell me the ETA to get to work as I leave every morning and have it remind me of whatever I need.

This thing is great. We use it as a baby monitor, a way to get the kids from the other room without yelling (which they only ever yell back WHAAAT?! and never hear us anyways), and to control our smart lights. Saves me much effort in getting off my butt.

The Echo has come become very handy in day-to-day routines. Ask Alexa about the weather, sports, news, set timers, or just have music play in multiple rooms. While Echo's speakers are suitable for voice, playing music is more enjoyable using bluetooth speakers.

Controls via voice my lights , music , fake fireplace and work out room fan. Easily connected via bluetooth to aftermarket speakers for my music. Simple to setup and always reconnects after an electric or wifi interruption. Owners of multiple dots.

We love Alexa! She's quick and easy to set up, and we use her for setting alarms, playing music, answering trivia, jokes, weather, kitchen measuring debate solving...making shopping reminder lists, turning on and off lights and the fountain in our backyard. She's fabulous.

We bought Alexa 2 years ago but wanted to try the Dot in 2 more places. Wandered how that would work but they work independently from each other. Sound quality on the Main Alexa is much clearer than the Dot. Still nice to have her in a few rooms for convenience.

I love the convenience of being able to interact with Alexa even when I am not in the room with the hub. You can make any request with the dot that you can with the hub. I bought a second dot for the basement. I’m also thinking about getting more for other rooms.

I find the voice used pleasant, and it's ability to understand above what I expected.

I purchased one for my grandchild. For the money, it does a lot more than I expected.

I purchased this in addition to the full sized echo that I bought. I wanted a second unit to use in another area of my home. I am very pleased with the results. The unit, itself, has a built in speaker that is adequate for general use. I also have a Creative blue tooth speaker that adds a higher quality sound that is especially good for music and reading material such as a book from Kindle.

I picked up the Echo Dot to use for an alarm clock. It worked well, and it was a bit of a novelty for a bit. In the end, I ended up returning it though. The voice recognition worked well most of the time, but when I was half awake in the AM, it sometimes took a few commands to get Alexa to do what I wanted. I have friends that love their Echos and Dots, but in the end, it just wasn't for me.

I have thoroughly enjoyed learning what the Echo Dot can do. I discover something new daily. I especially enjoy using it to play music through my Bluetooth speaker system. I also have set up several commands through IFTTT to control lights and my security system.

This was a house warming gift and they love it. I have one and we use it all the time
