Works great as a control center for all of my voice controlled connected devices.

Functions just like the Echo, but in a smaller size. Sound quality is not nearly as good as the Echo though. I personally prefer the Google Home.

I would recommend the Echo Dot over the Echo if you already have a speaker available. In my case, we had a old Bose Sounddock that works great with the Dot. We have several smart bulbs and plugs and Alexa is a good tool for controlling those items. The voice recognition is accurate, although we do find ourselves having to prompt Alexa at a louder than normal conversational volume.

I have the Dot in my bedroom. It is great for those short nap times when I don't want to set an alarm. I also like the capability of being able to have light bulbs that can be switched off and on without having to do it manually. A nice companion product for the Echo.

I like this product but I prefer the google home mini. Amazon just replies back with "I don't know the answer to that one" for too many questions

Good Alexa starter. If you’ve been curious about Alexa, get this one. Good stuff.

I own a number of IoT/Smart Home devices. The Echo Dot allows me to control these devices with oral commands. It is also a good way to quickly get weather forecasts, news headlines etc. There are also fun skills you can activate. I have one on each level of my house.

While we are just starting out with this item it is surprising how many uses you can find for it from using it as a morning traffic radio, or asking it the daily weather, to playing music in the backgrouund while you do other things and on and on. A great buy.

I bought two of these for my teenage grandchildren and they love them. They were the hit of the house at Christmas as people asked questions from as far away as two rooms over and got answers. They already had Blue Tooth speakers to pare with them and enjoy even more.

I have 2. They’re amazing. If you have a prime membership, they can do even more!

I keep on using it. It gives me my schedules just call Alexa. My family loves it.

The Dot is a Great Gift for Anyone in your Life. I think everyone should have One

We ended up buying 3 of these to cover essentially all of our home. We use them for music, to control lights (with plug adapters so far), the Nest Thermostat, and for entertainment. Very easy to use and set up, using it as a family much more than I would have guessed.
