Appears to be just the beginning of the voice controlled device, with many new applications appearing on a regular basis. Using it in conjunction with a Bluetooth speaker to play music of my choice. Connecting to local radio broadcast with morning coffee.

I love my Alexa product. I have a Firestick for our TV and it is so easy to speak what I want rather than using the remote. I thought there would be some voice training with this voice activated product but no it worked great right out of the box.

Bought this in conjunction with the echo plus Use this product on another floor and it’s a good way to keep connected with others in house

Bought along with Bose SoundTouch 20 and a pair of Bose SoundTouch 10s for my wife for Christmas. Echo works great and is very entertaining. Can play music over booming Bose speakers through the little Echo. Choose music, control volume etc with voice control.

This is a great product. Easy to assemble- connect with amazon prime and off you go. It would be cumbersome if I didn't already have an account with AP and had to go and create one!! Sound quality is great and we use it all the time

I absolutely love my dot, i personally own several. I like to use them for the music everywhere options, and i picked up a portable battery/speaker for it so i can take it outside with me when i grill. I own 3 myself and recommend it highly.

Honestly I didn't expect much from the Echo Dot, or think that the sound produced could be heard further than a few feet away. Originally I thought that it didn't even come with an internal speaker, and that you had to look it up to either a Bluetooth speaker or a wired one. For $50 or less on sale, it is well worth it. The sound is a bit weak and tinny, but I expected that. The nice thing is that you have two options to connect external speakers, by Bluetooth or a 3.5mm plug for headphones or external speakers. My wife and I were able to associate it with our two Amazon accounts, so she has access to her music and apps tied to her account and I have access to mine. I was surprised it was possible, but this is nice to be able to share the device. We'll probably buy the larger Echo device later, but this is a great one to try to see if you like it before making a larger investment!

The echo dot is a good tech addition to my nightstand. The list of functions that can be used keeps growing and I continue to find new things that Alexa can do for me. Not the best speaker but this isn't intended to be a speaker solely for listening to music.

I bought the Echo to add voice commands to my smart home set up. It works good with Samsung's Smart Things Hub and the IFTTT app. Great for turning on and off lights when you are bringing in the groceries and your hands are full. Convenient when controlling media and thermostat. So far, I have found no use for trivia or facts. I'm sure down the all this will improve.

I was surprised when I first setup the Amazon Echo Dot. The second generation responds to your commands as you expect, but it also does play music. It doesn't have the same sound quality as the Echo, for obvious reasons, but it was a nice feature to still have.

This small speaker is a nice addition to the amazon tap that I already have.

These Dots are so cool. I bought them so they can remind the kids to take their medicines, take the dogs out, eat their lunches, and to wake them up in the mornings. It works and make life easier. Saves me from yelling and screaming "Take the dogs out!"

The Echo Dot does everything the Amazon Echo does but without the bigger speaker and a lot less cost. Highly recommend. It functions as a mini computer, alarm clock, weather reporter, among many other skills that are continually being added and updated.

I like the echo dot. It's fun and easy to use. No issues setting it up. An inexpensive indulgence to get info quickly while doing other things (like turn on music while cooking or washing dishes or get the weather or traffic in the morning)... very convenient.

It will be given on Christmas as a gift so I can’t know how it will perform.

Love everything about Alexa! This is a perfect compliment to our other Echo!

Alexa is a great tool to have in the house. She answers all of my questions.
