Play unlimited soothing music for my 5 month old grandson while he sleeps. Just a heads up, you do need Amazon unlimited music plan to play the Echo Dot separately from your Echo device. Works great and the baby loves it.

This is the easiest way to get Alexa into your smart home. The speaker is ok - I personally wouldn’t use it to play music (I have all Bose throughout my home) but it’s nice because she can now control them with the new Bose skill. She’s fairly good at answering trivia like questions. I mostly use her to control other devices.

I loved Alexa so much I bought two for myself. I also bought one for my sister, mom, and dad. Alexa does some really cool stuff. I connected mine to my firestick and now I can verbally find shows and pause or rewind my shows.

I purchased for the sale price of $29 per unit which is ideal. The regular price at $49 is a little steep after it being on sale for weeks, but the functionality is great and having a device in every room makes this worth it.

Had no idea what this could do so I bought one for myself to test and found it so amazing that I got a second one for another part of my home and one for my office plus 8 more for holiday gifts. This is truly the perfect gift for anyone.

Already have an echo picked up the dot for a Christmas present for my wife very excited to use all the features they offer

These Amazon Echo Dots are nice. In comparison to the Amazon Echo's they are inferior. You get what you pay for. They work just as good as the Echo's but they are not as loud. This is apparent from the size difference. All in all, they are worth the price (especially if you got the good deal on Black Friday).

I managed to avail of the echo early adopter program from Amazon a few years ago, so knew what to expect with the dot. The speaker is decent enough but really shines when connected to our hifi over bluetooth. Skills are fun and useful, as is the ability to play podcasts, music from Amazon prime and iHeartRadio. Definitely worth picking up

This item would be better if you have Spotify prime and Amazon prime with out it you are limited just the basic functions

I got this as a present for my mom. I just found out from my dad that "Alexa" has been waking them up every night around 3 or 4am with an alarm that says something about verdant, vector, not really sure? My dad unplugged it, so it's not being used. It was kind of hard to set up with the bose speaker I also got for my mom. They barely use it, but I have friends who LOVE their "Alexa." To each their own.

I like the fact that while I am cooking or baking I can tell Alexa to add items to my grocery list without having to stop and write items down. Especially like the ease of use with Pandora. Still relatively new and haven't used all apps.

It’s very easy to set up and very easy to use you can set it to tell you the news and temperatures in the morning so you can listen to it and do whatever and my kids love that it plays music

This thing is great. You don't how beneficial it can be until you start playing with the Skills. Having it read the news, weather, cooking assistance, games. For the price its a great first step into home automation if you are hesitant.

You cannot go wrong with Echo Dot. We added one to the den, and love, love, it. I use the alarm set for so much...med's, dryer, naps, etc. The music is great. We added Amazon Prime to get the best of the music!!!
