The Echo dot has been an excellent addition to my smart home project. Does everything through Alexa that the full size Echo does in a compact package that requires nothing additional to accomplish the same tasks

Bought the Dot when it was on sale before the holidays. Happy I did as they seem to be more expensive and harder to get these days. Works well but I recommend you hook up a portable speaker to increase the volume.

Alexa is one of the best home assistants and this one is no exception. Except that it is super awesome to get it on a budget.

Love the Echo Dot, will definitely be buying more.

Love my echo dot. I use it as my alarm clock every morning and love that I can listen to any genre of music at any time. Also whenever I need some information on something I can ask echo.

Love the Amazon Dot. Already had Amazon Echo for quite awhile so was used to using it. Now I have the super easy to set up Dot in two more rooms!!! Information is just a second away with these products.

I am very impressed by this little device not only is it reasonable priced but the technology inside it outstanding. Please consider purchasing Alexa before any other Voice assistant, you will not be disappointed.

I already have an Amazon Echo in my living room but I thought my bedroom would benefit from the Echo Dot. Both devices work better than I expected. The only difference is that the dot has a less dynamic speaker so I connected my Bose B/T speaker to it. I now use the dot as my primary alarm and music streamer.

Short version: this is a great option to test the waters of smart assistants in the home without breaking the budget. I read countless reviews before buying the Echo Dot and had my own preconceptions about it. I figured it'd be a fun gadget to link with my Sensi connected thermostat and control my music. It does everything as advertised with a relatively simple setup. What I didn't expect was that my girlfriend would take to using it for kitchen timers, audiobooks, buy me a smart light, and end up using it more than I do. Audio quality sounds ok, but it pairs with my Bluetooth home theater system for serious listening. If you don't have a Bluetooth sound system, you might want to consider the full sized Echo that sounds MUCH better.

I use my echo dot everyday. I only have 2. I plan to buy one for every room. I use it to tell the weather, set my alarm, ask questions about who is and what is. My favorite feature is using my alexa app to connect with my echo at home. I can make “announcements” to my kids at home via the echo through a text or I can use “drop in” and listen and speak to them like an intercom. Those are my 2 favorite features. I can also use it to tell my children stories (the stories are limited unless you purchase some but they do have some. Peter Rabbit is the one that usually plays at bedtime for free). I also love using the nature sounds for bedtime as well.

Simple to set up with the Alexa app and it just works. I'm using it for simple things like shopping lists, lights, and alarm clock. I know it does more but for a cheap price it's doing what I need it to do. The sound isn't stereo quality but hey - that's not what it's geared to be.

Good if you know how to download the Alexa apps and understand what each one is for so you don’t get the wrong ones that tie up your phone. The glarity that she understands with is great. I almost never repeat myself. Just gets the apps you need. Check reviews for the app, it helps

Got this for free with a Ring purchase. It was fun to use at first but gets less use now. I like being able to connect to the kids in their rooms or send out messages to the all at once. When they ignore phone calls you can drop in to see what is going on while you are gone.

I love my Echo Dot. I can listen to music, get news updates, even control my entertainment system through my Harmony hub. I can also leave messages for friends and family who have Echo too. Excellent device.

After buying a couple of these as gifts for others I finally got myself one. I love it. At full price I might only like it but for $30 its a good deal. till learning more things every day to do with it.

I first saw the Amazon Echo Dot at a relative's house, and loved the whole notion of a personal assistant. Alexa is friendly, knowledgeable, and there when I need information from her. All at a great price point!

Everyone knows AI is taking over and even though I'm a late adopter, the Echo is fun. Whether it's asking basic questions or just using it as a speaker, it gets the job done.

Set up is very straight forward and easy. The Echo Dot works with lots of smart home products on the market. I found the device very useful in my daily activities, a good companion no doubt.
