Love the integration with my fire stick. Could use some minor improvements when controlling lights

We put these in almost every room...we can control so many things with them. Also fun to tell the downstairs dot to play Good Day Sunshine in our teenager's room to wake him up. ;) Easy to use

We brought one of these a month ago, my older son loved it. The echo dot, he uses it all the time.

I got this little gem as kind of a “it’s gonna be fun” type of impulse buy. I had no idea how much fun it is. First off, it was less than $20. Second, it has endless uses. Get this.

The dot is extremely responsive to voice commands. It is the least expensive echo but has a feature that the largest echo does not. Because the large echo contains a speaker, Amazon removed the ability to pair it with an external bluetooth speaker. Since I use the dot to play music through a receiver via bluetooth or a bluetooth speaker that feature was important to me. Lots of fun and silly things to do with the dot(and all other Alexa echo items) so it is recommended for family use and individual use alike. The only reason I deducted one star was because there are a lot of questions that Alexa cannot answer as of now. It is weaker in this regard than doing a google search. But at this price point it is well worth it if you have an external speaker or system to connect it to. It also has an audio out jack if you do not have a bluetooth speaker. By the way it interfaces with some home automation products which is great. It is important to note that with no external speaker connected the sound quality is much weaker.

Overall nice product. Works best in smaller areas. Only drawback is sound clarity with max volume.

Great product. Bought for my niece and nephew after having one myself. They love it. They use it for Sports scores, playing music, asking Alexa questions. If you have Prime it's a no-brainer to get it.

Alexa controlled our Christmas lights and tree lights with a simple voice command. She played Christmas music from several different sources, So glad she was a part of our holidays

Great product and everyone loves using it to play music, listen to news, look up information, and even play games. Once you get used to it you may miss it when it's not available.

I love this thing. We use it for music in the kitchen all the time and just for general use purposes like asking it questions and such. It is fantastic and I'm thinking about buying more for the house.

These were x-mas gifts that both families are truly enjoying. Playing music by hooking up to wireless speakers and asking ALEXIA questions. They really like it. Planning on another purchase of the DOT..

Grandma can operate her lights by voice. She says its like Buck Rodgers. Dont know how we lived without voice command and an endless universe of data, music, tv and on...

This speaker is super useful. It's perfect for just about everything. I've told everyone I know about this. Most of my friends and family got one almost immediately after I told them about it.

Echo Dot is fun for kids and adults. Kids spend endless hours playing games on it using their voice and adults used toys like home automation or you can turn the lights on and off closed or open garage

Amazing invention. My entire house is smart and controlled by this little Alexa. Thermostats, lights, ring door bell, radios, garage door, etc. a must have. There is no stopping AMZN.

The echo dot is pretty cool, it does and answers basic commands I ask. It recommends that you download your information to using the app so it can do more, but I haven't done it yet. My husband did though and he is able to get more out of it than I could. But overall it's a good product to have.

This is just a novelty until you actually start incorporating smart home devices. When combined with Nest, August, Smart Lights, Chamberlain, and multi-device audio, these devices are awesome.

We have an Echo Show, Echo 1st gen, and 3 echo dots in our home. We use them for everything from playing music, games, weather and as an intercom system. Amazon has great customer service too.

Great little Gadget does almost everything the full-size Echo does but at a fraction of the price. Great if you have an Amazon account. No 5th star because I think Google home probably has more overall ability to integrate with other devices in your home, but there is a price difference for that.

When discussing what skills are available on Amazon’s Alexa platform, we often find ourselves referring to it as “the house guest” so as not to wake it up. We are really enjoying the Echo Dot.
