I like the item. I wanted to try the echo since I already have Google home.

Bought this for my in-laws who weren't so sure about a voice assistant. The price is great, and now they love it! It connects to everything with ease.

I have 3 second gen echo dots and would have given it 5 stars, except now I bought a couple of the third gen dots and find them to have a much better sound quality. While on sale, I’d say pay the extra $10 and go for the third gen.

I wanted to give this a try. The price is right--and after getting it in my hands, well worth the money. It's a toy, but it's also useful. My favorite feature is being able to send shopping list and to do items from anywhere in my house (within hearing distance, which is pretty dang large). Now I don't have to remember to add something to my list the next time I'm at my counter to right it down. I just ask Alexa and she does it for me--even while I'm brushing my teeth. How great is that?!? Best Buy had this in stock, even though amazon had a wait list, so I was really happy to be able to pick this up in the store.

Works so far, just trying to get other devices hooked up. Taking some time.

Ever since my first Alexa I have been hooked. I have several now throughout my house and help me to control multiple devices and lights and appliances.

Great gift for teenagers in the home. It works well and very easy to set up!

Amazing product. I love all I have to do is just talk to Alexa and I have all my questions answered. I can Sony my Makeup without having to get up and change anything.

It's hard to beat the price. Even if you buy a decent quality speaker separately the combined price with the echo dot is still a bargain compared to other competitors.

Bought three for a promotion BB was having at the time. Alexa is responsive and once you pair it with your smart plugs, services are very convenient. Highly recommend.

I got one for my wife for Christmas--used it so much I had to buy my own I use it every night to help me go to sleep--ocean waves, soft instrumentals, nature sounds, etc.

Alexa understands more than Siri in my opinion...I don't know if that will change with Apple's new HomePod or how it compares with Google's offering. Will have to see.

Works great for asking about weather instead of turning on tv, the kids enjoy asking her to play music, it is handy to just say “Alexa and play music”

Good companiin piece to an Amazon Prime membership. Compact, easy to use, Alexa is pretty user friendly. Would be even better if it had its own rechargeable battery.

The Echo Dot is fantastic! I use it in the kitchen to answer day-to-day questions and sometimes connect it to a Bluetooth-enabled wireless speaker to listen to music.

These are great non expensive way to have music in every room, I recommend a nice blue tooth type speaker to pair with them for a way better sound.

I bought this after the Echo Plus for another room. Was on a great sale around the holidays. I put this in the kitchen so I could use it to make a grocery list.

This thing is as frustrating as it is entertaining. Alexa is like a cranky toddler sometimes and doesn't listen worth a darn. But for sheer coolness factor, being able to tell Alexa to play a favorite artist and then it plays is awesome.

My new Echo Dot is great! Alexa is full of excellent suggestions and wonderful information. And, she even tells me she loves me occasionally! How can you beat that?

I was not a fan of the whole smart home devices such as this but it helps with a lot of inconvenient things and also connects all the smart devices.
