Echo is pretty sweet. My only complaint is the speaker isn't great.

Have the dot connected via Bluetooth to a speaker in bedroom. Use it to get headlines, weather and listen to music. Ask for a joke and you'll get something fun.

I purchased my first Echo online and set it up in minutes. It worked flawless with our home automation. Able to turn on lights and set the thermostat was great.

You can have a conversation, play a game, ask about weather conditions, ask for a joke, link to your Pandora and play your favorite music, and so much more.

This has been a very helpful product to have in the house as I can ask her all sorts of things and she just knows. Also love that she can play music for me.

Recomended by a friends and was not disappointed. Would consider getting another one or the bigger version. Must have if you’re an Amazon user for sure

I purchased these to go in the bedrooms and my office I have the larger echo on my kitchen island you can even move music anywhere you go in the house.

Now that we purchased this Dot, we've bought two more and the Echo Plus. Great with our kids, reminders, recipes, music, facts, family games, and more.

I purchased this for my 14 year old grandson along with an electric outlet for it. He is having fun with it and says it was easy to hook up.

Alexa is a fun, informative, entertaining device. I thought it would be just a silly purchase but glad I did it. We start the day together with news and music.

I use the Dot for simple tasks mostly - current weather, news, music. If I’m in the mood for a corny joke, Dot has those too. There are other things Dot can be used for but with “smart” devices but I’ve yet to try any.

I purchased this at the same time I got the Google Home. As far as turning off lights or managing my thermostat they both do an equally good job. However when it comes to getting information on a variety of subjects, from the internet , the Echo Dot can't keep us with Google Home. The ability to cast music & video IMO, is easier on the Google Home. It seems the Echo Dot's major function is more a Device for using Amazon services and making purchases from Amazon. I'm impressed with both devices but I am amazed at how fast the Google device has increased its capabilities in just a short period of time. I think it's just a matter of time before Google takes over the dominant market position now held by Amazon. The bottom line is, if you just want to control your lights or thermostat either device will do a fine job.

Echo Dot is a cute looking device. Simplifies routine stuff for you and works pretty well. I would love to explore it more with different integrations.

Much better speaker output on this 2nd generation Amazon Echo Dot. Better price also. Adds to my Amazon Echo family, original, Tap, and both generations of Dot.

Great tool to get support without using hands. only voice activated.

Good for music, if you have prime music. Good for news. Awesome if you're too lazy to turn on your lights, if you have Phillips hue. There's a lot of add-ons.

Love asking basic questions and playing games. I have it connected to my light switches and it works amazingly. Recognizes my voice quickly.

It's fun. It's intuitive. She's getting smarter. My only beef with Echo Dot is having to almost shout even in close proximity. I also have t played around with placement yet so that may help. I love telling Alexa to order toilet paper or ask what the score of a game was. Very simple set up. Connects easily to Bluetooth speaker and Amazon Prime account. I feel like I'm cheating on Siri, but both these AI's don't seem to mind one another, so........We're all happy together. Alexa and Echo Dot add a dimension of automation that makes life easier and more enjoyable. Get one.....or six.

If you have Tune in Radio app or Pandora you will like this, I do not intend to use this to control my appliances or furnace. Ask it for the weather or todays news its great. But..... Your smart phone can do some of the same stuff ehco does.

really enjoy my alexa. nice to be able to listen to music continuously. she can give you all kinds of info and can do many things for you
