Bought this for my husband who likes to listen to music. Not only can he listen to music but can do so much more like get the weather report, etc.

We thought about getting Alexa when it first came out, but weren't sure if we would enjoy it without all the added electronics that can turn off lights and such. We visited my in laws a few weekends ago and they have one and they love it. Our 4 year old son loves talking to her and learning new things. It's easier then typing it into Google, you can just ask Alexa what the weather is like, what traffic is like, you can add skills like Dominos and you can order your "easy order". It's pretty cool. We are so glad we bought one and are telling all our friends to get one too!

If you don't have an Echo device, you need one. Period, end of discussion. It is so useful an helpful. We discover new uses every week.

We have installed several smart bulbs and switches throughout our house and turned to the Echo Dot to be a simple interface by which to control that. We have both SmartThings and Hue hubs and primarily use the Echo to control devices connected to them. In addition to doing an exceptional job for that intended task, we've also found ourselves using the Echo for quick kitchen conversions and as a kitchen timer. There are an endless number of "skills" (basically apps) you can install on the Echo, so no matter your intended use, the Echo probably has you covered.

I love my echo dot. I can play any genre of music I want, or connect it to my playlist. Makes cleaning the house more bearable.

Alexa can play any genre of music you ask her. This alone makes it such a great product. It connects easily to my Bose speaker via wifi. What a great buy!

Received Amazon Echo Spot as a promo for purchasing Ring devices. Already had one in my office, works great, love to ask questions.

Picked this up before Christmas when it was on sale for $30. Hard to beat for the price! will pick up another one or two if they go on sale again!

Family was excited to open this and install it right away. There very greatful with this Christmas present and they say its awesome.

After set up the response to commands is excellent no problem with distance in room to device. Speakers put out a good amount of sound at quality.

Would be better to give an opinion after it is opened and used.

The Amazon Echo and Dot products are easy to install, and easy to connect to home wifi and they are easy to sync with Philips Hue and Wemo products..

I didn't realize how much I would enjoy this gadget! I forget to say 'Alexa' before a command sometimes but I think you can switch that to another command.

My 5th Dot, plus an Echo. Also gave a couple of additional Dots as gifts. They function as promised, for everything from music to adjusting thermostats.

Purchased this at a great price, my second one. After reviewing the new dot offered at 29.95 chose the 2nd. Generation, I have a Bose speaker and saw no need In paying more for a dot with a little larger speaker.
