Purchased this at a great price, my second one. After reviewing the new dot offered at 29.95 chose the 2nd. Generation, I have a Bose speaker and saw no need In paying more for a dot with a little larger speaker.

The Amazon echo dot has been a great addition to our kitchen. My kids love to ask Alexa questions and request her to play music. Love this thing!

I use this Echo Dot with a Bose Acoustic Wave Music System II. With the Dot I can listen to internet radio and the Bose produces a great quality sound.

Good assistant and does work well with my nest and lights. Sound not that great because of the small size and that's expected. One issue is that the microphone is not quite as sensitive as my google home so I ended up returning it.

The Echo's low-pro design makes this voice command system control most of your electronics, and provide information upon your request! Super fun and cool.

I bought this as a 2nd Alexa for our upstairs. We love being able to listen to music and turn lights on downstairs if getting up during the night

This is my second one and enjoy using it in my office for updates , weather, calendar and much more. Thinking about buying another one.

Really like the DOT product. Works as advertised and continues to improved. Added a few ALEXA compatible home automation devices to it. All working well...

The Echo Dot is the perfect gadget to get if you want to dip your toes into home automation. It's very affordable and more versatile than the original.

I use it with tp-link bulbs and plugs and an ember light socket. I am very happy with it. A few glitches at first but have everything working great now.

But the price was so reasonable you just can't pass it up.i bought this one.my son bought google.we compared the two by asking arrange of different question.and Google seemed to answer the questions with more complete answers.

I have an echo at home and we use it constantly. The dot is for work. It is helping with to do lists and keeping my calendar straight. Great tool

Love the Echo Dot, we use it all the time to help organize our digital life. Plays music on demand and syncs well with our amazon prime account.

I bought these to extend use of Alexa for 3 other rooms in my home. It's great to just ask for time and weather when you don't have to get out of bed.

Great for people wanting to begin a simple smart home set up. Can easily turn on/off compatible lights and electrical outlets without getting up.

If you have the original full size echo then you know what to expect. This works the exact same only with weaker speakers. I think it's ideal for bedrooms

I used it almost every day. The echo dot is connected to the home internet, it could adjust the temperature of the house. It also plays music, news.

I haven't used the Echo Dot for very worthwhile uses yet but it can be interesting (facts, trivia, etc), helpful (weather, timer, alarm, and the like), and entertaining (tell me a joke, knock knock, bedtime story, play music, etc). There are a lot of "skills" that can be installed that I haven't locked into yet but I believe they can add actual usefulness. I also haven't added any smart home features (I don't have a cell/smartphone yet) but I think some of them would be useful (security camera, etc). I think this type of home "assistant" will only become more entrenched in the home and the Echo Dot is a reasonable introduction to this technology. It's not really wonderful but it's definitely OK. FYI: it requires a tablet or smartphone to use (needed to download the app ... the app isn't for a computer)
