I got this for Christmas.,and is definitely something that needs to be tried to really enjoy it .,.Alexa is so much fun .,great little device!!!!

I love my echo devices and the 2nd generation is only better. Voice recognition is better and the sound quality of the small speaker is improved.

I bought this item to start learning about wireless and Bluetooth devices. So, far i like this dot device.

We were so happy with the first one we bought we got another while on sale for a great price. Minutes to setup and we were on our way.

I now have three of these in my home. Love them. Use them for questions Alexa can answer, timers, alarms, etc. also use with my smart plugs.

I purchased the Echo Dot to see what it was all about. It's actually really cool. I wake up and ask her "How's the weather?" It's very helpful when making my grocery list by simply asking her to add it to my shopping list. I was confused at first how to play the games and different activities with her, but you "download" the different apps you want to install on her via the app on your phone. Everyone who comes over wants to play with it and it's definitely a conversation starter. It's also great for setting multiple timers for the kitchen !!

Love Having Alexa around. She is so nice when I need to be reminded to buy something at the store or sometimes just nice to talk to. Really the Amazon Dot does make listening to music and making a shopping list that much easier.

If you have the original full size echo then you know what to expect. This works the exact same only with weaker speakers. I think it's ideal for bedrooms

The Echo is like having a friend when you live alone. The Echo play my music without me pushing a button and has answers to just about all my questions.

We love this product. You can ask it anything, from trivia questions to current movies that are playing locally. For the price, it's worth the money.

I haven't used the Echo Dot for very worthwhile uses yet but it can be interesting (facts, trivia, etc), helpful (weather, timer, alarm, and the like), and entertaining (tell me a joke, knock knock, bedtime story, play music, etc). There are a lot of "skills" that can be installed that I haven't locked into yet but I believe they can add actual usefulness. I also haven't added any smart home features (I don't have a cell/smartphone yet) but I think some of them would be useful (security camera, etc). I think this type of home "assistant" will only become more entrenched in the home and the Echo Dot is a reasonable introduction to this technology. It's not really wonderful but it's definitely OK. FYI: it requires a tablet or smartphone to use (needed to download the app ... the app isn't for a computer)

My son uses this every day. While he didn’t need to make his life any easier than it already is, he says the Echo Dot does just that!!

Love, love, love. Although it doesn’t have the large speaker, the sound is still great for a smaller room such as a bedroom or office.

Both of our kids have these in their rooms to use as radios and alarm clocks. Once you connect your amazon account they can also use many other features.

I already had the echo. I purchased this item to be able to control the smart home products I have from my bedroom. Easy to use and connect. Great buy.

This is my 4th alexa and i just love it. Even my teenage son love it. I was able to connect my lights and ring door bell easily. Works well

I have a show and echo, although the dot has poor sound quality it integrates well with Bluetooth speakers. And works wonders for the smart home

I absolutely love having the echo dot at my fingertips. Love making my.gorcery lists and playing music whole house with a simple verbal request.
