I bought the echo dot because it was the least expensive option and I wanted to try it before investing in something more expensive. These two were in addition to the first one I bought. We got Google Home for Christmas and for the money we prefer the Echo Dot. It's much more responsive, the microphones work great, it understands outlet questions and is great for all ages. My 11 and 8 year old now have their own and we bought my 67 year old dad one for Christmas too. It has a very easy setup and connection options to Bluetooth speakers.

We love having this at home. Especially around the holidays when I have smart plugs! They all turn on with one command!!!

I have been wanting one for awhile and finally bought a few to stash around the house. It is so much fun to learn what Alexa can do.

Enjoy the various echo/dot solutions that amazon provides. We use it for an alarm, music, news, etc. Unobtrusive.

Not near as cool as the regular echo, but safe buy at the low price. For sure recommend getting more than one so they can interact.

I like this product but always forget I have it a resort to googling questions and then I remember I have alexa. Good device though

This is my 10th amazon echo type device and the dots are awesome. They act as advertised and deliver great sound and hear very well.

I am still exploring all the options involved with the Amazon Dot (and for Echo for that matter). It interacts easily with the Echo and provides an inexpensive means of widening the use of the Echo throughout your home

I'd been holding off the Echo because I wanted something that could control our kitchen overhead speakers and this little guy has been great.

I would recommend it to anyone.. fun and informative.

We bought this to work in conjunction with Alexa. We have set alarms, played our favorite music. It was easy to setup. Will buy for my family

The Amazon Dot is easy to set up and use. The speaker is OK, but I would advise getting a separate speaker if you use it for music.

I enjoy getting my daily news and weather updates from Alexa. I also like that I can play music with a voice command.

I got this for my son as a birthday gift. He absolutely loves. It's now an everyday part of his life. I'm thinking of buying one for myself.

I got this for my mother on her birthday so she could let it read her books and to just play with. After setting up I found myself having a lot of fun with it, asking jokes, getting the temp, and just off the wall questions. Now I got to have one for myself. The only thing that is a draw back is that I got to phrase the questions just right so that the echo knows what I'm asking. Once get over that, it's simple and a lot of fun. Set up was semi quick. The problem I had was getting the speaker to work which had nothing to do with the echo.

The price was great for a technology savvy teenager!

It's hard to believe all the things you can do with the dot. Great help keeping up with all the appointments. Love being able to get music!
