Plays music. Small. Easy to use. Less costly than buying the more expensive echo if you don't need all the bells and whistles.

It is do small yet offers do much easy to use even the grandkids use it unlimited wealth of information and such a great price

The amazon dot does everything the echo does just it a smaller form. Only down side is the acoustics aren't nearly as good as the Echo.

Mom recently lost her sight. I let her try Amazon's Audible, and she chose Gone With the Wind. Since she cannot see to operate a tablet or phone, I bought her an Amazon Echo Dot My blind mom can just say "Alexa, read Gone with The Wind" to start the narration. She can pause, stop, change chapters, hear samples of other Audible titles. It is a light in the dark for her. A (not so) small miricle.

Awesome way to enter the smart home market. Would recommend to older generations due to it being so easy to set up and control

I like it , specially my kids play and ask Alexa information , and play the music is easy for connect to my cellphone

I have this hooked up to my Phillips Hue and it works great. It's nice being able to turn on lights with just an easy voice command

When these were on sale for $29.99 they were a steal. I gave one to each of my children. Alexa can even tell bed time stories.

This device was a real surprise. It answers almost all of my questions. It gives me a daily summary of the news. I purchased the Amazon Library of music and it is really fun. You ask it to play any song and it plays that song. You ask it to play songs by any artist and it plays a list of songs by that artist. You can ask it to skip songs and turn up or down the volume. This is a lot of fun. One problem, I can't figure out how to use it to turn off and on lights since I can"t get a Wemo to connect to my Wify.

I love to control my tv and everything in combination with harmony hub. Also, my kid loves to ask Alexa for music so he can dance.

Echo dot is great even with the small speaker. I have a few in the house, some in kids' bedrooms. Great for music and light controls.

Well made device that works great! Lots of neat tricks and handy functions. Really just the doorway to home automation, but an affordable one at that. In the end though, still more novelty than necessity.

I just can't stop buying these for each room in my house. The standard Echo in rooms with no speakers and the Echo Dot in rooms with.

I already had an Echo tower and love it. Bought the dot for Mother's Day gifts. Because it was a gift, it was extremely difficult to set up. Was not user friendly for my parents in their late 60s, early 70s.

I can't wait for my husband to get to his first crossword puzzle question that he can't answer and ask his Echo Dot!

Lots of fun, my grandkids ask the goofiest things, but it's suprising how they can learn things they never expected.

It continues to get better features. Kids love it. Nice to be able to use your voice to control so many things in the house.

This little unit is fun to have and keeps playing music as long as the internet is stable. Love having it.

I needed another Dot to cover my house better. Best Buy had a sale just when I needed it. I continue to be amazed by Amazon Alexa.

I have the regular Alexa which can fill a whole level of a house with its sound. This one is good for a bedroom or office sized room.
